Sr Lead Technician Industrial IT

Janssen Vaccines is recruiting a Sr Lead Automation Technician for Industrial IT, located in Bern/Switzerland. The position consists in running the lifecycle of automation systems and its infrastructure. Furthermore, carrying out activities on the systems mentioned and leading contractors working on the automation system. You will be able to shape and drive automation tasks and prepare our foundation to receive new systems! Move over, we'll bring together state of art practices from the market into our daily corporate life of manufacturing automated systems. Key Responsibilities: The aim of the position is to be one of contact persons for automation questions, automation projects and/or adaptation work on new or existing systems, as well as maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs in the automation area. Development and implementation of automation projects. Strongly collaborate with the Engineering department to guarantee technical standards on investment projects. Independently processing demanding overall projects in the areas of automation. Defining automation strategy, concepts and implementing proposals Collaboration in investment in the area of automation /alarm concept Responsible for the allocated assignments on technical competence. Coordinating and supervising alarm management between the Control System Operator and the IT Department. Implementing software changes and documentation. Maintaining technical documentation and compiling maintenance checklists of automated systems. Coordinating preventive maintenance of systems. Defining guidelines, SOPs, maintenance and supporting contracts with suppliers. Supporting the Maintenance Team in the area of control technology (MSR). On-call service (approx. 1 per month for 7 days) may be needed. Drive and guarantee timelines on tasks assigned to automation, like CAPAs and Change Controls. Qualifications Education EMSR Technician: Education/training in the field of electrical engineering / measurement and control technology, automation or comparable Experience and Skills Required: Consistent track record in the field of BMS (Building Management System)/EMS (Environmental Monitoring System), DLS (Data-logging System) such as Honeywell and Siemens (Desigo CC/Insight). Experience in maintaining Process Automation platforms SCADA, Siemens S7/Tia Portal (PLC), OsiSoft (PIMS), OPC. Knowledge of relational database systems. Self-independent leading of automation tasks Experienced in a working with several internal departments (IT, operations, quality, engineering and maintenance) to carry out projects or tasks. Experienced in working with different partners, internally (mentioned above) and externally. Involvement in the engineering environment in the area of automation of process plants and infrastructure facilities (e.g. media supply, monitoring) Knowledge of computer systems is a must. Understanding the theoretical concepts and practical implementation elements of industrial networks and its interface with large corporate networks is required. Strong interpersonal skills Skills in time and self-management Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Being a great teammate! Preferred Experience with MES interface is desirable. General programming skills (e.g.: PLCs and/or IT classic systems) is a strong plus.
