Electrical Technician - Offshore - Brunei

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is recruiting Electrical Technician - Offshore, an exciting & challenging role on the BSP Offshore Rejuvenation Project. <br><br><ul><li> Deliver a high quality, consistent and competent <b>Electrical Construction Technician</b> service in accordance with project / company requirements, standards, and procedures </li><li> Support overall delivery of company goals and schedule. </li><li> Ensure that all work scope is completed in a safe manner ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric, or environment </li><li> Perform all required discipline tasks, safely, consistently and in accordance with project requirements, procedures, and specifications </li><li> Installation, Isolation, reinstatement, and associated construction testing of electrical equipment in <b>NON - HAZARDOUS</b> and <b>HAZARDOUS</b> </li><li> Inspection and completion of applicable certification / documentation as required including red - lining of drawings to reflect 'as - built' status. </li><li> Inspection of electrical installations / equipment and completion of associated certification of permitted work scope completed by NON - COMPEX Electricians within a hazardous area. </li><li> Read, understand, and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, always ensuring that all works associated with the role of Electrical Technician is completed safely and to a high standard. </li><li> Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable work pack / job card instructions, associated procedures, and drawings / sketches. </li><li> Provide support to other trades / disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi - discipline team. </li><li> Raising applicable Permit to Work (PTW) to complete work scope in a controlled and safe manner. </li><li> Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br>Qualifications / Training <br><br><b>Essential:</b> <br><br><ul><li> Recognized Electrical Apprenticeship </li><li> Technical qualification with applicable electrical background - City and Guilds or equivalent </li><li> BOSIET / Approved Offshore Medical </li><li> <b>COMPEX or Certified Equipment for Hazardous Area (HLD course, Mandatory for this role)</b> </li></ul><br> <br><ul><li> <b>Desirable:</b> </li><li> ONC in Electrical / Electronic Engineering </li><li> Electrical Safety Rules </li><li> Permit Vision </li><li> AMEC mandatory training, induction, risk awareness, etc. </li></ul><br><br>Experience <br><br><b>Essential:</b> <br><br><ul><li> Demonstrable experience posts electrical apprenticeship / training with current relative experience in all aspects of electrical installation, isolation, reinstatement, and testing associated with construction electrical work scope in <b>Hazardous</b> and <b>Non - Hazardous</b> </li><li> Ability to demonstrate good understanding of risks associated with working in Hazardous areas. </li></ul><br><br><b>Desirable:</b> <br><br><ul><li> Demonstrable OFFSHORE experience in the role of Construction Electrical Technician </li></ul><br> Local Bruneian <br><br><ul><li> Personal qualities, aptitudes, and skills </li></ul><br> <br><ul><li> Ability to communicate effectively with team members. </li><li> Demonstrable commitment to always working safely. </li><li> Flexible - able to comply with company and project requirements. </li><li> Ability to collaborate with other team members / disciplines and in a multi - cultural environment. </li><li> Confident and with the ability to work unsupervised working on own initiative. </li><li> Has a desire to learn and develop within the role. </li><li> Possesses a good standard in spoken and written English </li><li> Possesses a good understanding of safe working practices and can always demonstrate commitment to safe working </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
