Radio Operator - Offshore

<p style=''margin-left:28.4pt;''>·     Operate all equipment in the radio room and ensure the equipment is well maintained and operational.</p>

<p style=''margin-left:28.4pt;''>·     Maintain a radio watch on maritime and aeronautical emergency frequencies.</p>

<p style=''margin-left:28.4pt;''>·     Provide telephone, radio, e-mail, fax and telex communications on behalf of Vantage, the Operator and service companies.</p>

<p style=''margin-left:28.4pt;''>·     Maintain a record/log of all radio communications to and from the installation including a record of radio accounts.</p>

<p style=''margin-left:28.4pt;''>·     Ensure the maintenance of all electronic navigational aids where applicable.</p>

<p style=''margin-left:28.4pt;''>·     Test the standby radio equipment and the radio equipment in the lifeboats on a weekly basis. These tests to include the checking of the radio room batteries.</p>

<p style=''margin-left:28.4pt;''>·     Keep records of the accounts, for the telephone charges from the installation (if applicable).</p>

<p style=''margin-left:28.4pt;''>·     Advise the OIM of any emergency situations within the vicinity of the installation.</p>

<p style=''margin-left:28.4pt;''>·     Inform the HLO and control room (where applicable) of all intended helicopter traffic to the installation. </p>

<p style=''margin-left:28.4pt;''>·     Establish and maintain radio contact with helicopter traffic to and from the installation, advising pilots of landing clearances, meteorological conditions etc; and record in the helicopter movement log.</p>

<p style=''margin-left:28.4pt;''>·     Co-ordinate and control the isolation of radio equipment during periods of radio silence.</p>

<p style=''margin-left:28.4pt;''>·     Provide clerical / administrative support to the OIM as required.</p>

<p>Act as the IT Co-ordinator if required.</p>
