Project Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a <b>Project Engineer</b> with experience in the Mining industry. In line with the Wood core values and personal commitment to the core values<b> , </b> the Project Engineer will ensure delivery of the service in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner, in line with contractual requirements, to the satisfaction of customers and to Wood. <br><br>This will include: <br><ul><li> Ensure the project scope is well defined and agreed among all stakeholders. This includes project deliverables, project assumptions and project risks. </li><li> Ensure the baseline cost estimate and schedule reflect the scope. </li><li> Act as the focal point for all project related issues. Manage project related issues with client Project Engineers and Wood Discipline Leads. </li><li> Monitoring of costs and budgets. </li><li> Monitoring of delivery status and progress, communicating delivery status and progress to appropriate stakeholders. </li><li> Monitoring and control of Wood workflow process. </li><li> Monitoring and control of change management process. </li><li> Facilitate management review, detailed design clarification meetings, constructability reviews and close out meetings. </li><li> Ensure all technical issues associated with a modification or repair have been reviewed and accepted by the appropriate Project Engineer. </li><li> Ensure adherence to Wood's and Client project management, change management and document management procedures and processes. </li><li> Foster an environment of openness, trust and honesty in support of Wood's Core Values. </li><li> Position may require site visits. </li></ul><br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> An Engineering Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution. Engineers must be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador. </li><li> Minimum 8+ years experience with relevant engineering and / or project management experience with a proven track record in delivering on schedule and budget. Any equivalent combination of experience and / or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved may also be considered. </li><li> Strong understanding of project management principles and objectives with a strong emphasis on project execution. </li><li> Ability to communicate at all levels of both internal and client organization. </li><li> Work with minimal supervision and must be self - starter who takes ownership of tasks through to completion with success. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
