Senior Mechanical Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is seeking a <b>Senior Mechanical Engineer </b> to join our <b> Mining & Minerals </b> team.Reporting to the Mechanical Department Manager, this position is located at our Saskatoon, SK office. If you are looking to build upon your career and continue to develop your skills in the mining and consulting industries, we want to hear from you. <br><br><b> Key </b><b>Responsibilities</b><br><ul><li> Maintain an expert understanding of department design standards and guidelines, as well as applicable engineering codes and standards </li><li> Solve broad, complex technical problems </li><li> Manage and direct technical resources </li><li> Develop design solutions according to project requirements </li><li> Write scopes of work and contract documents </li><li> Review project documents prior to issue for scope and presentation, including checking for technical accuracy </li><li> Serve as an advisor and mentor to other technical personnel on design, processes, engineering methods and interpretation of codes and standards </li><li> Promotion of, and adherence to, the discipline specific procedures and feedback on continuous improvement </li><li> Perform the role as a Technical Authority, when appointed </li><li> Other engineering duties as directed </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Bachelor's degree in mechanical or mining engineering </li><li> Ability to register as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Saskatchewan </li><li> A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in engineering and leadership roles. EPCM experience is required. </li><li> Experience with potash, uranium, heavy industrial, mining, metal processing, or similar industrial experience is an asset. </li><li> Ability to discover and recommend solutions to complex technical problems in a subject matter expert capacity </li><li> Must possess strong team management and organizational skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li> Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without Wood sponsorship at time of application </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
