System Architect - Field Services

Under the responsibility of the Tendering Team Manager and or Engineering Team Manager, the Services Architect is responsible of: Support sales / Engage with customers to articulate prospective business solutions and value propositions that address customer main challenges Envision and develop an end-to-end solution architecture for Digital services / Advisors based solution bridging assets, devices, gateways, connectivity, cloud, integration, analytics, cyber security layers, addressing functional and non-functional aspects Support Digital sales in the quotation process providing inputs on technical requirements / and intricacies of IT (IT upgrade, co-legacy systems…) Activities and areas of responsibility Provides technical leadership / advisory to Tender, sales, and customers Serves as technical expert for pre-sale customer activities and internal events Participates in remote customer meetings to understand customer requirements, pain points, challenges, and current environment In coordination with sales, communicates with customer to understand customer requirement and present solutions that fit into customer requirement Prepares technical materials, BOQ, compliance Defines the architecture and design of our solutions/services in support of customer projects Provides strong participation on timely and accurately completion of RFIs/RFPs Main Interactions Description of main internal and external interactions Serves as the digital services/solution expert and consultant on how Schneider Electric (and its partners) services and solutions can be applied to meet customer challenges Guide/ handover Digital Services architectures and customer’s IT intricacies to project management and delivery teams. Liaise with Segment architects Key Success Factors The ability to listen to customers and articulate ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders Good judgement and ease in handling ambiguous customer requirement. Performance Measurement (KPI’s) Envisions and creates architecture for inclusion in proposals Standardise architectures per segment in line with segment architects. Contributes to the framing of the value proposition and technical solution Reviews and clarifies technical proposal with customers Ensure all required technical documentation and approvals are validated to ensure a smooth and timely hand-off to project management and delivery teams Education and Skills 5-8 years of relevant experience Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering Proven experience of working in a technical role (e.g., applications engineering) completed with experiences in sales/ pre-sales / and or tendering Knowledge of various Electrical and Automation, such as: LV/MV Switchgear, Transformers, Variable Speed Drives, Active Harmonics Filters, PLC, etc. Experience in the following is an advantage: Integration platforms, related IT-OT technologies, incl. PLC, SCADA systems, IoT/M2M Platforms, DCS, CMMS. Awareness of industry leading IoT platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, PTC Thing Worx, GE Predix, or IBM Watson Strong knowledge of SE EcoStruxure Digital Offers & service plans Strong experience in any of the industry domains of Datacenters, Healthcare & Life sciences, Retail & Consumer goods, Oil & Gas, Mining, Utilities, and Power Systems.
