Piping Engineer in Training (EIT)

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood in Calgary is looking to add a <b>Piping Engineer - in - Training</b> to our Conventional Energy business team. EIT's will work in teams on multiple projects to progress their careers as Piping Engineers. <br><br><b>Responsibilities include</b>: <br><ul><li> development of specifications, datasheets, lists, etc. </li><li> piping calculations for pipe stress analysis, thickness selections etc. </li><li> develop piping material specifications for piping, valves, and specialty items, </li><li> work on diverse engineering software like AutoPipe, Caesar, FEPipe, AFT impulse etc. </li><li> support the assembling of technical requisitions </li><li> Input to the Technical Bid evaluation from the vendor proposals </li><li> Provide support for marking up and checking of vendor drawings </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Aptitude for detailed engineering </li><li> Comfortable working with engineering first principles. </li><li> Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering with eligibility to be registered with APEGA as an EIT </li><li> Previous experience in an industrial environment in Canada or the United States (summer positions) is desirable. </li><li> Must be legally able to work in Canada at time of application </li></ul><br> ***Please include a copy of your transcripts when applying to the position <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
