<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p><b>Fundraising Officer</b></p><p>This is a fantastic opportunity for a Retention Fundraising Officer to work with people in the drylands of Africa to tackle poverty and the effects of the climate crisis by growing trees, improving people&rsquo;s incomes, and restoring and protecting land.</p><p>The charity&rsquo;s projects make sure trees thrive so they can provide food and incomes today and protect the environment for tomorrow.</p><p><b>Position:</b> Retention Fundraising Officer</p><p><b>Location:</b> Bristol office, UK</p><p><b>Hours:</b> Full-time, 35hrs per week.</p><p><b>Salary:</b> &pound;27,865 per annum</p><p><b>Contract: </b>Full Time Permanent</p><p><b>Benefits: </b>Competitive Holiday and Pension</p><p><b>Closing Date:</b> 29th June 2022</p><p><b>The charity will be doing rolling recruitment so this role may close earlier if the right candidate is found.</b></p><p><b>The Role</b></p><p>As Retention Fundraising Officer, you will maintain donors who have been giving to the charity for more than 6 months. Develop support from the charity&rsquo;s supporters with a range of regular communications and engagement tools.</p><p>Your main duties and responsibilities within this varied and rewarding role will be to:</p><p><ul><li>Lead on day-to-day project management of all retention fundraising activities</li><li>Development of the donor journey and communications aiming to increase donor retention</li><li>Develop digital retention fundraising strategies, working closely with the Digital Marketing Officer</li><li>Manage relationships with suppliers for outsourced programs and projects</li><li>Deliver high standard of supporter care, including responding to donor correspondence and queries</li><li>Utilise Raisers Edge effectively, maintain and develop the supporter database for fundraising</li><li>Provide data and analysis on fundraising campaigns to assist with planning and budget setting</li><li>Keep up to date with relevant legislation including GDPR </li><li>Manage the administration for legacy gifts pledged</li><li>Liaise with the Finance Department to ensure cross-department accuracy of donor pledges</li><li>Assist in event organisation where regular givers, frequent givers and/or legacy prospects will be present</li><li>Assist with recruitment of volunteers, intern, and temps</li><li>Identify projects that can be delegated to volunteers</li><li>Provide occasional back-up and cover to team/department staff as appropriate.</li><li>Be familiar with the work of the Charity and be able to communicate this</li></ul></p><p><b>About You</b></p><p>As Retention Fundraising Officer, you will have a proven track record of fundraising and experience of project managing fundraising campaigns to agreed targets, deadlines &amp; budgets.</p><p><b>You will also have the following Knowledge, Experience and Skills: </b></p><p><ul><li>Experience of production and/or fulfilment of communications materials</li><li>Experience of using fundraising CRMs (Raisers Edge NXT preferred)</li><li>Experience of undertaking research and reporting findings</li><li>Knowledge of administering legacies</li><li>Excellent planning and project management skills; experienced in prioritising workload.</li><li>Understanding of good digital customer journeys and stewardship journeys.</li><li>High level of numeracy and analytical skills with ability to analyse data and produce reports.</li><li>A passion for international development and to issues affecting rural smallholder farmers in dryland Africa</li><li>Proactive and confident to make recommendations to improve future activity.</li></ul></p><p>If you feel you have the qualities, skills, and experience to fulfil this varied, rewarding, and vital role, we would love to hear from you.</p><p><b>About the Organisation</b></p><p>Their work is led by local people with local knowledge and expertise.
