We are currently recruiting for and Energy Optimisation & Market Studies Consultant Your Mission Market Studies: Perform regular and detailed market research into European energy markets, especially Iberian and Italian natural gas , considering the whole gas value chain including regulatory affairs, and commodity market developments Liaise with internal subject matter experts regarding energy market developments Prepare, update and present qualitative and quantitative reports and datasets to a variety of customers in the energy value chain, to a high quality and often tight timescales Participate in product development discussions, and support the creation of tender / service request responses Optimisation: Analyse our Industrial & Commercial clients‘ energy portfolio and data for savings opportunities through cost recovery and cost reduction, focusing on ‘non-commodity’ elements (network, transportation, tax) Optimisation opportunities management: Prepare and present client reports detailing opportunities and savings, gain client acceptance and implement agreed measures with energy suppliers / grid companies / tax authorities Deliver on allocated client commitments, meet and exceed personal revenue targets Core markets Iberia and Italy, however the position holder will have the growth opportunity and objective to learn other European markets Your Tasks And Responsibilities Market Studies: Be a “subject matter expert” for: a) Iberia and Italy gas markets in particular; and b) European energy optimisation opportunities / intelligence, especially Iberia & Italy Maintain and develop our market intelligence, datasets, analyses and reports through detailed market research across the gas value chain in countries of study Through ongoing market research, keep up to date with relevant market developments, analysing changes and impacts so these can be explained accurately to our customers Develop and update quantitative databases detailing costs and charges applicable to industrial and commercial gas consumers Prepare, maintain and present timely qualitative reports and analyses, with areas of study including market legislation / regulation, commodity market arrangements, energy infrastructure, non-commodity charges including network and tax, end user price developments Confidently communicate with customers to provide market expertise, insight and support Optimisation: Data analysis and market research: Collate, review and analyse customer energy data against our market intelligence to identify opportunities for cost recovery & reduction Research allocated markets for new savings opportunities for clients, liaising with internal stakeholders as appropriate Client management: Liaise with internal stakeholders across Europe to maximise savings opportunities and service for customers and deliver on our contracted commitments Prepare and present focussed opportunity reports for national and international clients, explaining our savings recommendations and detailing the steps required to implement Implementation: Liaise with Client Managers and customers to obtain approval to implement report findings, then steer each recommendation through to implementation with energy supplier / grid company / tax authority as appropriate Revenue ownership: Optimisation savings monitoring, liaising with Client Managers and invoicing teams as appropriate Project coordination and business development: Coordinator responsibility for a number of international customers, coordinating analysis reports from team members and presenting results to customers via calls or face to face meetings. Participate in team projects to improve our service delivery and customer value, working with internal stakeholders to drive benefits from digitization and technology to improve efficiency About You University degree Experience In the energy Market required Experience in B2B (business to business) services / consultancy desirable A background in market research could be an advantage Fluent Spanish and English essential, other language skills would be helpful to application Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, a strong analytical mind and the ability to present accurate analysis confidently and articulately to clients, and handle queries Excellent communication and presentation skills both internally and with clients The ability to work constructively to influence customers, energy companies etc, in order to turn Optimisation opportunities into revenue Strong organisational skills and work ethic to meet work commitments and commercial revenue targets Why us?
