Make Excellence Manager

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Site MAKE Excellence Leader to be based in our Jalan Tandang, Petaling Jaya manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for managing all operations related to manufacturing, materials, facilities., distribution, engineering and maintenance to ensure smooth, continuous, cost effective and controlled manufacture of products in support of the business' forecasts and inventory goals. Main responsibilities: Shapes the regional Consumer MAKE strategy and regional standardization & simplification priorities representing the site in collaboration with Regional MAKE Excellence. Leads the deployment of the regional MAKE strategy within the Site (across all functions) DRI for the performance management process for the Site MAKE organization, for excellence in execution through deployment and governance of regional programs (JJ Production systems/Operating System, Zero Based Budgeting, Operator Asset care/Equipment Owner/Small Group Activities) to elevate the manufacturing capabilities. Leads the MAKE Excellence & PMO (Portfolio Management) teams in the site, while collaborating closely with all internal site functional Leaders, using an aligned approach to program, project and performance management. Represent MAKE in the Reginal Make Excellence Community Lead plant dashboard analysis Lead plant performance discussion in preparation for regional reporting. Review action plans and follow up on action Lead plant performance versus target evaluation and analysis Review plant annual targets and gaps to close with respective area owner. Operation Excellence Act as technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Site and Regional J&J continuous improvement programs and processes that include Johnson & Johnson Production System (JJPS), Statistical Process Control (SPC) Elevating manufacturing capabilities (people, systems, processes, infrastructure), identifying and executing Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives that drive improvement and deliver business results across all areas of performance (Competitiveness, Compliance, Capabilities, Customer Focus) in efficiency, waste and cycle times. Implementation and facilitation of the Proven Practices program, ensuring best practices are identified and implemented in a standardized and timely fashion as well as monitoring for sustainability and effectiveness Lead JJPS Program at site and implement periodic “Health Checks” to assess current state of the programs. Exposure to an integrated system of enterprise-wide principles, practices & tools that focused on building consistent, standard & transferable processes and capabilities to drive sustainable value for the business and customers. Qualifications Bachelors Degree A minimum of 10 years experience with production or operations in a manufacturing environment Work with a planning organization or having planning experience Experience and exposure to external stakeholders (regulatory agencies, community relationships) Demonstrate an understanding of the business and commercial priorities Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate others toward a common goal or vision, particularly when leading through other leaders Experience in Lean and Change management Experience in Project Management Primary Location Malaysia-Selangor-Petaling Jaya- Organization Johnson & Johnson Sdn.
