<p>Position Summary:<br />
Under minimum supervision, perform purchasing duties of the rigs, yards, warehouses and offices in line with relevant Company Policies and Procedures.</p>

<p>Essential Job Functions:</p>

<p>- Review requests for new suppliers and recommend to the Supply Chain Manager for addition<br />
- Maintain relationships with Suppliers in line with Company Expectations<br />
- Review all material and service requisitions (repair & return included) in terms of quantities, pricing, specs, proper coding, priority, urgency, etc.<br />
- Obtain and review quotes ensuring the quotation and specs are meeting Companystandards as per relevant Company and Local proceduresI<br />
- Follow up promptly with clarifications and requests for information from Suppliers or the Rig<br />
- Ensure all Purchase Orders are approved according to Company Approved Procedures<br />
- Ensure local contract agreement with Suppliers are being used to maximize cost savings<br />
-Conduct purchasing activities to allow efficient requisitions process<br />
- Constantly review and assess economics of local purchase against foreign purchase with consideration given to quality, certification, costs and delivery times<br />
- Assist in the review of all Open Purchase Orders and where necessary expedite overdue and outstanding PO's with Suppliers<br />
- Assist Yard/Logistics group with any materials discrepancies which need clarification<br />
- Assist Accounts Payables with invoices discrepancies<br />
- Be familiar and maintain a general knowledge of Company Supply Chain and Financial Procedures<br />
- Document procurement issues and problems to allow effective resolution and prevention utilizing the NCR Reporting System<br />
- Liaise with IT/System group in monitoring performance of Company approved purchasing software<br />
- Ensure that all Materials & Purchasing procedures are followed, in line with the Supply Chain Manual and all company associated Policies & Procedures. Participate in developing new and revised existing in order to cover local specific needs</p>

<p>Technical Competencies<br />
Ideally has 3 years buying experience. (Offshore Drilling Industry preferred<br />
 Understanding of Supply Chain Process and supporting tools.<br />
 Understanding of Incoterms, logistics and shipping management.<br />
 Understanding of restrictions applicable to import items<br />
 Understanding of commercial concerns, operational imperatives and decision-making with regard to global materials sourcing decisions.<br />
 Proficient in English.<br />
 Full understanding of corporate business ethics.<br />
 Understanding of Environmental and Safety regulations/requirements.<br />
 Full Understanding of Company Core Values.<br />
 Full understanding of Supply Chain Manual.</p>
