Firmware Test Engineer

Job description Writes and executes Firmware test plans (both manual and automated). Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of Firmware. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Provides feedback in preparation of technical firmware review. Works in collaboration with Validation and Electronics Test Engineers to ensure full coverage of product functionalities. Education and knowledge Bachelor’s / Master's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Knowledge of software engineering methodology, processes, and good practices in AGILE framework. Proficiency in C and C++. Knowledge on Linux administration and shell scripting Knowledge of Cyber Security standards. Knowledge of communications protocols and standards such as: TCP/IP, Ethernet, IEC61850-8-1 & IEC61850-9-2, IEC101, IEC104, DNP3.0, Modbus.
