Senior Telecom Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Instrument and Telecom Engineer to strengthen our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE <br><ul><li> To execute engineering Design, FEED and detail Engineering experience and Costing estimation for proposal in Telecom systems </li><li> Responsible for complete engineering document activities like preparing block diagram, functional design specification, datasheets, MR, equipment layouts, interconnection drawings, termination drawings, cabinet drawings </li><li> Take part in Technical bid evaluations, Vendor document review and approvals </li><li> Technically competent in own discipline and actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development </li><li> Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate across the project/contract interfaces </li><li> Provide discipline support to the business </li><li> Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reports </li><li> Provide discipline input to scope definition and execution </li><li> Deputizing for principal as required </li><li> Supporting and supervising tasks delegated to direct reports </li><li> Executing assigned personal objectives </li><li> Management of third party suppliers in the execution of Engineering delivery </li><li> Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement </li><li> Participate in audits and incident investigations as required </li><li> Coaching and mentoring as delegated </li><li> Supervision of Graduate Engineers. Provides input to the performance management of direct reports </li><li> Manage and supervise direct reports </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> A minimum of 8 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry with experience in Engineering Design, , FEED and detail Engineering experience and Costing estimation for proposal in Telecom systems </li><li> Bachelors Degree in a relevent Engineering Discipline is required </li><li> Experienced in IT / Telecom field including Security & Safety, wired & wireless communication in Oil & Gas Projects and extensive knowledge in LAN & WAN, ACS, CCTV, FOC, IDS, PAGA, Hotline systems, F&G and IP telephone etc </li><li> Fully coherent in all international codes and standards. </li><li> Strong project-based delivery experience; strategic thinking; oral and written communication skills </li><li> demonstrable experience in the oil and gas industry </li><li> Broad understanding of the business drivers for oil and gas clients </li><li> Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
