Project Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a <b>Project Engineer</b> to strengthen our team in Dubai. <br><br>Responsibilities: <br><ul><li> Provide client with an excellent service, by delivering the projects in a safe manner to the agreed schedule dates and within approved budgets </li><li> In depth focus on MR's and TBE's - analysing, reporting, attending relevant meetings </li><li> Work closely with assets and work pack teams to identify opportunities to release drawings with holds and split work packs etc </li><li> Delivery of individual, Project Performance with respect to Procurement, Schedule, Cost, Safety and Quality to meet asset operational needs </li><li> Arrange and participate in all project safety, design and constructability reviews </li><li> Zero defect tolerance </li><li> Strict adherence to Project Procedures usage </li><li> Establishing Work Orders WBS Structure and alignment of proposals & CTR development with an emphasis on scope development </li><li> Project delivery to agreed schedule dates </li><li> Preparation of Weekly Project Dashboards </li><li> To drive interface management, liaising with the Client's Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion </li><li> Promote safe behaviour at all times. </li><li> Work Order Proposal preparation, including scope and deliverable definition. </li><li> Base line schedule preparation </li><li> Work Order Kick Off </li><li> Change Control within work orders </li><li> Risk Management within work orders </li><li> Work Order reporting </li><li> Budget Control of work orders </li><li> Schedule Management </li><li> Daily Relationship Management and interface with client PE and client FRR Technical Authorities </li><li> Accurate reporting against active work orders </li><li> Be proactive in safety behaviours and leadership </li><li> Work Order Proposal - development of delivery strategy, WBS and review of the completed CTR's </li><li> Schedule approval - work with planning team to produce a base line schedule for client approval </li><li> Work Order Kick Off meetings - prepare for and manage the kick off meetings in accordance with project procedures. </li><li> Change Management - Ensure any potential changes and variations are managed in a timely manner with the clients approval and to the approved process </li><li> Risk Management - all associated risk are to be identified, assessed and registered with appropriate mitigation measures identified </li><li> Work Order reporting - on a weekly basis update project dashboards in line with agreed reporting cycle </li><li> Budget Control - ownership of the Work Order budget, check weekly time books & approve, provide monthly and end of contract forecasts to the cost control team </li><li> Schedule Management - maintain ownership of the schedule to track progress and measure performance </li><li> Risk Management - at commencement of work orders, hold a risk workshop, identify key risks, assess mitigations and register within the risk tracker </li><li> Action Management - all key actions are to be registered, assigned and tracked within the action tracking system </li><li> Client communication - from the offset of the work order work closely with the client PE to understand their requirements, meeting frequency and communication links to bring a harmonious working relationship </li><li> Work order reporting - On a weekly basis a project dashboard is to be produced in readiness for issue to the client. These will comprise as a minimum; progress status, budget status, procurement status (if required), key issues and risks </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Degree qualification in an Engineering discipline </li><li> Minimum of 10 years project engineering experience in the oil and gas industries </li><li> In depth experience of dealing with MR's and TBE's - analysing, reporting, attending relevant meetings etc </li><li> Previous experience of working closely with assets and work pack teams to identify opportunities to release drawings with holds and split work packs etc </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
