Your work will also support world-leading eye research, and education along with patient care, <br />to provide life-changing eye health for millions of people in the UK and around the world.<br /><br />About the role<br /><br />You will join a growing team and contribute to increasing the size and quality of the charity's prospect pipeline <br />(individuals, trusts and foundations and corporates) by undertaking high quality and insightful research. You will play <br />an important part in building philanthropy and securing income.<br /><br />You will work with the prospect research manager to develop and review the strategy in response to changing requirements <br />and environments to help the team to focus on the best prospecting opportunities, with a focus on five, six and seven figure gifts. <br />You will participate in regular pipeline review meetings to identify gaps in individual portfolios to lend research support to <br />fundraisers to progress activity in prospect pools. <br /><br />About you <br /><br />We are looking for a someone with an understanding of the principles of philanthropy, fundraising practices, donor motivations <br />and wealth indicators. Your experience may come from the charity, education or corporate sectors. <br /><br />You will have experience of conducting structured background research preferably on high-net worth individuals, company <br />directors and/or family trusts and foundation boards with the ability to gather information from the public domain in line with <br />data protection best practice. <br /><br />You will be an excellent communicator.
