HVAC Engineer

My client is an international oil and gas consultancy and due to expansion they are currently searching a HVAC engineer for a 12 month renewable contract to be based in Rotterdam.<br><br> Main Duties:<br><br> • Taking the conceptual design through detail design to implementation and project close-out<br><br>  • Experience in HVAC, <br><br> • Progressing all elements of design in-line with the Design Checklist<br><br>  • Production of tender specifications and ensuring these align with contractual obligations<br><br> • Mentoring of Mechanical Designers / CAD Operators with the intent of securing properly trained personnel for the continual expansion of the company<br><br> • Leading weekly work package meetings with contractor and construction team<br><br> • Ensuring the Construction Supervisor is provided with the current shop and space management drawings, specifications, approved technical submittals and all approved changes in scope<br><br> • Ensuring the Construction Supervisor is fully briefed on the awarded scope of work, the tender technical documents and all contractual revisions to tender documentation<br><br> • Evaluating technical submittals for specification and client requirement compliance<br><br> • Approving Test Packs at each step of construction through to completion<br><br> • Forwarding testing and commission passing criteria to the Construction Supervisor<br><br> • Evaluating progress claims against work complete; • Evaluating contractor variation quantity claimed is accurate.<br><br>  <br><br> Other Duties: • To promote safe working practices and protect the health and well-being of all Employees, Sub-contractors and Customers<br><br> • To behave in a professional and responsible manner at all times<br><br> • To protect the interest of the company<br><br> • To provide mechanical engineering design and construction support to projects and the department<br><br> • Ad hoc duties as determined by management. Requirements<br><br> • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.)
