JD Role/Team Summary: The Technical Lead will be responsible for the design, Implementation and stability of the Citrix platform. Responsible for leading, planning and managing mid to large sized projects. The candidate should demonstrate innovative design, configuration, installation and troubleshooting skills and have a very sound/in-depth knowledge of the Citrix products and technologies. Excellent communication skills and collaborate with members in the team, Customers, Stakeholders and be able to mentor junior staff. Handling team responsibility for designing & engineering Citrix infrastructure, delivering end user applications in a highly availability configuration in the most cost effective way. Should be high focus on continuous improvement in the team targeting areas such as operational standards / strategy and Hardware/Software Roadmap. Provision of technical services, possessing sufficient knowledge of the technology and its deployment to enable them to operate at a specialist level and provide Technical Lead services to medium/high criticality projects. Provide technical leadership to enable provision of a reliable, cost efficient and effective capability within the department. Provide technical leadership and strategy for the Citrix Platform Provide operational technical direction for the Citrix Platform Ensuring that delivered projects are designed to operate efficiently and cost effectively. Provision of technical guidance and direction to less experienced team members and to other members of other teams Own and drive the Technical direction of Citrix, develop and own the relationship with Engineering. Provide Technical Design role where required. Keep up-to-date with new technologies and documentation, to ensure operational and functional service across the Citrix platform Drive and lead technical input to platform improvement programmes to reduce costs and improve service quality. Ensure project deliveries to support comply with architectural standards and meets operational principles Work with the technology Change Programmes to facilitate delivery of change in support of business objectives. Ensure that platform operational aspects are included in the architectural standards. Handing of problem and Incident management. Providing RCA and tracking of problem till it get closed with proper problem management process. Roles & Responsibilities: Proficient with industry leading virtualization technologies such as XenApp, XenDesktop, XenServer, Horizon View, VMware and Microsoft Hyper-v. Manage and support NetScaler, XenApp, XenDesktop, and Storefront. Manage Citrix application builds, release cycles, patching and test schedules Administering Citrix provisioning Services (PVS) 7.x or later versions Provide Architecture and design for planning phase regarding technologies such as XenApp, XenDesktop, PVS, MCS, and Server 2012/2016/2019. Administration of VMware technologies including, but not limited to, vSphere, SRM, Update Manager, Horizon Serving as the expert in implementations and migrations of the latest Citrix and application virtualization technologies; recommending solutions to support and enhance our existing systems Identifying opportunities and implementing solutions to improve business processes and productivity, with a keen focus on automation Maintaining all related technical documentation; where applicable, developing and communicating company policies and procedures Preparation of documentation, training and handover to support team Experience in managing Citrix computer and user policies Good experience in resolving profile, printer, access, and communication issues on CITRIX. Managing Citrix licensing & terminal services licensing and windows terminal server. Citrix farm performance tuning & capacity planning. Knowledge of Monitoring through Citrix Director, Splunk and generating logs Experience in managing Citrix group policies in Citrix Studio Knowledge of failover techniques, recovery/rollback, and application partitioning in Citrix. Provide proactive capacity management and performance monitoring support with Citrix & VMWARE product. Assist with network & load balancer troubleshooting, and change discussions as needed. Create and document backup and recovery plans for XenDesktop farm Experience in the implementation of ITIL processes and possessing certifications. Working knowledge with MS and/or Linux OS & Excellent communication Skill. Skill required (Citrix Lead): 8+ years of architecture with Large Scale Citrix / Horizon View environments Good hands on experience XenApp, XenDesktop, PVS, NetScaler Good hands on experience Citrix cloud migration, setting up, configuring, and supporting Experience in designing, deploying and supporting large-scale Citrix environments using, XenApp, Presentation Server, PVS, MCS, XenDesktop & NetScaler. Experience in managing and Deploying multiple high availability Citrix Farms Expert knowledge of Citrix configurations and ICA Client management Experience in implementing Citrix performance optimization, scalability, security, high-availability, monitoring, printing, connectivity, group policy Must have a solid foundation in Citrix XenApp 7.x from initial requirements gathering, testing, documentation and installation through all troubleshooting aspects. Administration & understanding of storage architectures, including peripheral interfaces (SCSI, RAID, Ethernet) and multi-processor designs (SMP) Should be comfortable with basic AWS public cloud concepts. Knowledge of failover techniques, recovery/rollback, and application partitioning. Experience in OS Hardening, performance and OS tuning. Knowledge on scripting Basic knowledge on Storage and SAN switches. Patch management, RCA analysis, Application installs and upgrades following procedures documented by application owners Meeting SLA in time to fix the errors and problems. Knowledge of Cluster Administration Citrix or Any Cloud Certification Mandatory Additional Qualification/Skills: VMWare Horizon view, AZURE WVD and Citrix cloud and AWS cloud Location: Sydney, Australia Location is not a constraint here, willing to consider all states including QLD, NSW, SA, ACT, WA, if the candidate is willing to relocate.
