Procurement/ Logistics Coordinator (Algeria)

<p><strong>Primary role</strong>: To coordinate and organise the structure, operation and management of the logistics processes and contracts under their responsibility, both nationally and internationally. This is conducted in a multicultural environment in French and English</p>

<p><strong>The position:</strong></p>

<p>You will be working on a rotation of 28 days on, 28 days off in Algeria. A competitive package is offered to the successful candidate.</p>

<p><strong>Key Duties:</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Management and monitoring of logistics contracts to ensure quality of service and cost control.</li>
<li>Define the scope of work through contracting and services delivery. Participate in the bidding processes, evaluation and recommendation in the awarding of logistics contracts in collaboration with contract engineers. Ensure the best conditions for contracting logistics services</li>
<li>Supervision and coordination of the logistics team, document management, as well as the customs operational tasks. Ensure delivery times. Optimize customs clearance times. Compliance with the procedures in force, internal and external (customs).</li>
<li>Import Management and Monitoring: Coordinate with national and international material suppliers and logistics providers. Customs clearance volume of around 300 clearances per year.</li>
<li>Supply chain management, coordination and planning: Manage productivity of the operational logistics system, coordinating transport, storage and customs activity in Algeria and abroad.</li>
<li>Coordination with military, customs, port, financial and ministerial authorities in compliance with national and international laws and regulations.</li>
<li>Export Management: optimize the management and processing of exports to reduce customs times and costs.</li>
<li>Internal transport and customs management: Optimisation of the customs transit and National Transport. Communicating with the warehouse, coordinating the shipment of materials to reduce reception times. Monitoring and improvement of the pick-up timing of local orders. There is a requirement for the management of specialist (hazardous) materials.</li>
<li>Management and / or coordination with suppliers to obtain special customs documents (ATA card, CIM visa, etc.) Ensure customs clearance without incurring additional costs or delays in deliveries</li>
<li>Issuing of monitoring and control reports of material in transit, customs incidents, etc. Required Accuracy of information.</li>

<p><strong>Qualifications/experience:</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Educated to Bachelor Degree standard. Recommended: Master in Logistics or equivalent, preferred.</li>
<li>Languages: English and French written and spoken.</li>
<li>Other necessary knowledge: Knowledge of international commercial legislation (Incoterms), customs, local legislation (financial laws, ARH) and means of payment. Mastery in the field of air, sea, river, land and multimodal transport.</li>
<li>Experience: 5+ years of previous experience in tasks related to logistics, warehouse and purchases of capital goods.</li>
</ul>
