<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p><strong>Maternity leave cover: Deputy Sales & Marketing Manager:</strong></p>
<p>If you have an interest in encouraging clean renewable energy, and like to communicate with international clients, here is an opportunity to join a small company based in Wallington, Surrey.Our client is the publisher of a well respected bi-monthly journal on renewable energy (hydropower) and broader aspects of water resources development. The company also publishes an annual book (industry guide) and various technical maps and posters.  They also organise international conferences with exhibitions in Europe (annually) and smaller regional events in Asia and Africa (in alternate years).</p>
<p>The company is currently operating a hybrid system – 3 days in the office, and 2 working at home. Maternity leave cover will be required from late June/early July.</p>
<p>Working with a Sales & Marketing Executive, you would typically have the following main tasks:</p>
<ul>
<li>sale of display and classified advertisements for the journal and annual book to be published this summer (there are many regular clients, and others need encouraging);</li>
<li>sale of sponsor boxes on a technical map;</li>
<li>sale of banner advertisements and sponsored webinars on the company website;</li>
<li>sale of stands and helping to run exhibitions alongside the international conferences in Europe, Asia and Africa; and,</li>
<li>helping to research new clients.</li>
</ul>
<p>Previous sales experience in publishing is desirable, as well as the willingness to be involved in a number of projects within this small but very active international company.</p>
<p>An aptitude to build up professional relationships with international clients, a conscientious approach to admin and record keeping, familiarity with CRM systems, and the personality to fit in well with a team are all important.</p>
<p>Some international travel will be required, to company events and to other exhibitions to help promote company activities</p>
<p>Basic salary will be based on experience and commission is also paid when projects reach realistic targets (up to 11 projects); there are also bonuses for on-site work at overseas events.</p>
