<b>Primary Purpose of Job</b><br />
&bull; Undertakes Non-destructive testing on pressure containing plant equipment, pipeline and welded construction using special equipment and techniques to ensure structural integrity and plant safety. Carries out Ultrasonic examinations within the field&
39;s area. Supervises Industrial Radiography carried out by Contractors using Ir-192 radioactive source. Reviews radiographs, interprets them and submits concise reports. Prepares inspection reports outlining specific recommendations and liaises with planning engineers and field supervisors regarding their implementations. Assists Welding/Plant Inspector in other day-today activities. Acts as a relief, during periods of Senior Inspector (NDT &amp; Welding) absence.<br />
<br />
<b>Education</b><br />
Academic: BSc or equivalent Technical: Formal training in all NDT methods leading to ASNT/CSWIP/PCN Level 2 Certification, CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector or equivalent at the discretion of AII(M).<br />
<br />
<b>Experience &amp; Skills</b><br />
&bull; A minimum 8 years experience in NDT of pressure containing plant preferably in the refinery, chemical or oil &amp; gas processing plants &bull; Thorough knowledge of International Codes and Standards related to fabrication and inspection of pressure vessels, piping, heat exchangers, storage tanks, etc &bull; Good knowledge of welding techniques, procedures and welding examination<br />
