DESIGNER

The Mechanical CAD Designer is responsible for preparing and maintaining engineering or sustaining project design layouts, production drawings, and other related documentation per ANSI/ Schlumberger standards, considering methods of manufacture and tolerance and their effect on related parts or assemblies. <br><br><b> Roles and Responsibilities: </b> <br> <ul><li> Function as a design engineer for routine/correction. </li><li> Prepare average complexity original mechanical layouts using the CAD system. </li><li> Depending on seniority, use the CAD system to prepare and maintain the highest complexity mechanical and average complexity electrical and electronic product and production drawings and other related documentation from layouts, sketches, or verbal instructions. </li><li> Be responsible for the accuracy of assignments, except for design features that are the responsibility of the project engineer. </li><li> Understand ANSI/Schlumberger drafting methods, standards, and procedures. </li><li> Understand Schlumberger manufacturing processes and techniques, and interpretation of ANSI/Schlumberger standards and procedures. </li><li> Possesses basic knowledge of the mechanical and, depending on the seniority, partial to total knowledge of the electrical and electronic Product Line. </li><li> Maintain status reports on all projects assigned. </li></ul><br><br><b>Minimum Job Qualifications</b><br> <ul><li>Minimum Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering - preferably in mechanical engineering </li><li>Already registered or eligible to register in ASET (Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta) or APEGA (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta) </li><li>Competency in AutoCAD Inventor (3D) </li><li>Understanding - mechanical design </li><li>Excellent communication skills both written and verbal </li><li>Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship</li></ul>
