<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p><b>HGV Mechanic / Technician / Engineer / Fitter</b></p><p><b>&pound;17.00 per hour</b></p><p><b>Preston</b></p><p><b>Full Time, Permanent</b></p><p>We have an opportunity for a qualified HGV Mechanic / Technician / Engineer / Fitter to join our clients depot in Preston, working in the Vehicle Repair and Maintenance department. You will be looking after a wide range of vehicles, including Refuse, Road Sweepers, light and heavy commercial Vans and a range of Plant.</p><p>Ideally, they are looking for an individual with a proactive &lsquo;can do&rsquo; attitude, who works well on their own initiative, but also effectively communicates with the rest of the team, ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standard.</p><p>Preferably, the candidate would be an experienced Mechanic with knowledge of mechanical and electrical vehicle components and systems. However, as it is essential that we build on our current team with an individual that has a positive attitude and willingness to learn, applications from outside the HGV industry will be welcomed, as full training and development can be provided on all of our vehicle types.</p><p>Aside from the reward of job satisfaction by helping our client keep its customers moving, there&rsquo;s plenty more they offer:</p><p><ul><li>Job security &ndash; our client is currently celebrating its 100th year providing services to the local community and wishes to carry on this achievement for the next 100 years to come.</li><li>Attractive roster &ndash; A 2 week rotating roster, working a 4 day week of 10 hour shifts, Monday to Friday, guaranteeing 40 hours, covering the core hours of 0930 till 2000. Overtime is available for those that desire to do so.</li><li>Career progression &ndash; If you have ambitions of progressing on to a supervisory or management role, opportunities can be made available at a number of depots in the North West.</li><li>Free travel &ndash; Free travel on any of our clients services is provided for yourself, spouse and children.</li></ul></p><p><b>Key Accountabilities</b></p><p><ul><li>Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicle types</li><li>Diagnosing and rectifying all types of vehicle faults, using diagnostic equipment</li><li>MOT preparation</li><li>Repair all vehicles as required to company and DVSA standards</li><li>Maintain and complete vehicle and Company documentation</li><li>Liaising with the parts department to attain correct parts</li><li>Ensuring health &amp; safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to</li></ul></p><p><b>Advantageous Qualifications and Experience</b></p><p><ul><li>Level 3 HGV City &amp; Guilds/NVQ or equivalent</li><li>Previous experience as a qualified HGV Technician</li><li>HGV Class 2 Licence</li></ul></p><p>INDJOB</p>
