Air Traffic Control Specialist Terminal/RADAR

Job Summary The Air Traffic Control Specialist will maintain safe and efficient aircraft separation IAW FAAO 7110.65, AFI 13-204v1-4, and AFCENT Supplement 13-204v1-3. The designee will coordinate with various controllers and personnel to relay information which pertains to the aircraft and in the interest of safety of flight including emergency information. The designee will be familiar with radar operations and apply the required separation of aircraft. The designee must be able to process flight plans, control approach, departure and arrival procedures. The designee will have a full working knowledge of RADAR/Manual approach control operations, control tower and flight planning. The designee will be familiar with control tower operations and apply the required separation of aircraft. The individual is responsible for vehicles and personnel operating on the airfield. Minimum Requirements Education Graduate of an approved DoD or FAA ATC course. Experience Three (3) years of ATC experience minimum, One (1) year of experience must be from performing in a like type facility. Knowledge of ATC rules, regulations, and techniques; control tower and approach control operations. Shall hold one of the following radar certifications (ATCS certificate, FAA Credential, FAA or DoD training records) and FAA Control Tower Operator (CTO) certificate or FAA Credential with Tower rating if staffed in a Control Tower. Must be able to maintain a Security Clearance. Medical Ability to obtain and maintain FAA Class II Medical Certificate
