Security Supervisor

<p>Overall Purpose of the Job:</p>

<p>Responsible for the security of assets, operations, escorts duties, guard personnel and GSF who work for</p>

<p>Seplat Energy Plc at the Lagos and Abuja offices.</p>

<p>Principal Accountabilities:</p>

<p>1. Develop and implement cost effective security measures and procedures to mitigate against risks to</p>

<p>Seplat&rsquo;s assets, business operations and personnel in Lagos and Abuja in line with business goals.</p>

<p>2. Gather and share intelligence with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure that assets,</p>

<p>personnel and operations are protected from crime, violence and other business-related risks within</p>

<p>Lagos and Abuja.</p>

<p>3 Coordinate the provision of Security services for Senior Management and other designated VIPs as</p>

<p>may be directed by the Security Coordinator, Lagos or the Corporate Security Manager.</p>

<p>4. Implement procedures for the effective management of security related emergencies and crises to</p>

<p>support business continuity.</p>

<p>5. Provide the Security Coordinator, Lagos and Corporate Security Manager and relevant</p>

<p>stakeholders with regular intelligence and management reports to guide decisions on security</p>

<p>issues.</p>

<p>6. Manage relationship with government security agents (GSAs), internal and external stakeholders</p>

<p>and other security service providers within his AOR in order to ensure Seplat Energy Plc derives the</p>

<p>highest standards of security services while complying with the Voluntary Principles on Security and</p>

<p>Human Rights (VPSHR).</p>

<p>7. Support the development and defence of annual Security budgets corporately.</p>

<p>8. Supervise the implementation of security plans, standards and procedures within his AOR (Lagos</p>

<p>offices and Abuja) to ensure incident free operations.</p>

<p>9. Support the development of Security Contract plans and manage all security contracts within his</p>

<p>AOR.</p>

<p>10. Support the investigation of security incidents, handle security audits ensure implementation of</p>

<p>recommended actions within his AOR.</p>

<p>11 Develop and manage Security Risk Assessments, Security Plans and other security related SOPs</p>

<p>in AOR</p>

<p>c) Immediate Subordinates: Security Guards, Lagos.</p>

<p>Job Context and Main Activities:</p>

<p>&bull; Security threats to oil and gas personnel and operations as well as the increasing threats of insurgency,</p>

<p>armed robberies and kidnapping for ransom continue to pose challenges to investments in Nigeria.</p>

<p>&bull; To achieve the objectives of a secure work and living environment, the Security Supervisor, Lagos is</p>

<p>required to interface regularly with internal and external stakeholders in order to respond adequately to</p>

<p>the risks facing the company and implement cost-effective risk mitigation measures.</p>

<p>&bull; The Security Supervisor, Lagos is domiciled at the Corporate Headquarters to deliver quality security</p>

<p>services to multi-faceted customer base while networking for intelligence and undertaking wide ranging</p>

<p>tasks and activities to keep the assets and personnel protected.</p>

<p>Job Knowledge and Qualifications:</p>

<p>Good knowledge of Security Management in industrial setting. A minimum of 5 years security experience</p>

<p>at least 2 of which must have been on a supervisory position in an oil and gas company.</p>

<p>A good bachelor&rsquo;s degree.</p>
