About the Role Based in Sydney, we are looking for a SCADA Service Engineer who will ensure the components of the Plant SCADA control system are functioning properly, you will perform a variety of technical tasks in support of the Plant SCADA system to include setting up the systems, installing, maintaining and calibrating equipment. Some of the major responsibilities are however not limited to; Install and configure Plant SCADA equipment; PLC’s, Switches, Servers, and other related components Conduct Plant SCADA system maintenance and upgrades Analyse and troubleshoot SCADA and PLC system configuration Use test and troubleshoot equipment and software to diagnose and repair malfunctions. Manage inventory of equipment and software. In case of a failure anywhere in the system, you will respond rapidly to diagnose and execute repairs and shorten the downtime. Constant monitoring of system performance and integrity is necessary. About You You are someone who gets excited by innovation and are forward looking. You are a highly driven individual seeking to work with a value based organisation whose solutions are leading edge. You must be flexible in your work hours, expect to participate in a rotating 24/7 support standby roster, and be prepared to react on very short notice to a problem in the system. Some of the work can be performed remotely, but on most occasions, it will require traveling to one of the sites for installation or repair In addition, you possess the following relevant skills and attributes 4 year Bachelor of Engineering degree / 3 year Bachelor of Engineering Technology degree / 2 year Advanced Diploma or Associate degree in accordance with the respective pathway Demonstrated experience of 5-8 years in the delivery of Industrial Automation and /or Telemetry and/or Information Management System projects and/or services. Track record of work within small engineering teams demonstrating successful delivery of projects and/or services. Minimum of 160 hrs of customer and/or site experience – e.g. customer office, on-site or remote commissioning/support. Hands on experience in commissioning medium to large projects / site work and/or managed service agreements. Basic understanding of various PLC platforms (Schneider & Siemens preferred) and a general understanding of the whole Industry product offer, Sufficient domain experience to competently interpret process descriptions and to develop technical DSS/FDS and system designs. That’s all the functional stuff but equally critical is your energy, curiosity, customer focus and ability to collaborate extensively, remaining a selfless and committed team player.
