Civil Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Civil Engineer on a permanent contract to join our team in Brisbane. <br><br>Reporting to the Discipline Lead Engineer, the successful applicant will be part of a busy project team delivering projects for our clients in the oil & gas, water and renewables industries. <br><br><b> Responsibilities </b> <br><ul><li> Provide detailed engineering input to all design phases, including interpretation and challenge of standards </li><li> Support design/drawing office personnel with engineering input </li><li> Participate in the development of P&ID's, package specifications, construction work packs, project schedules and planning. </li><li> Prepare requisitions and technical evaluation of bids for discipline material and equipment procurement </li><li> Prepares bid clarification questions and handles responses, and coordinates / chairs technical aspects of bid clarification meetings </li><li> Assist in reviewing of design packages to ensure the relevant safety, environmental and ergonomic standards are met </li><li> Coordination with allied disciplines in preparation and development of deliverables </li><li> Provide practical engineering support to the construction/commissioning phases of projects </li><li> Takes responsibility for study, design, specification and services related to the engineering discipline </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Must be degree qualified </li><li> RPEQ is required </li><li> Previous experience on the Coal Seam Gas projects </li><li> Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (AS, ASME, ASTM, ANSI, API, etc.) </li><li> Must have experience leading small to medium sized Mechanical / Piping engineering design teams </li><li> Must have experience working with high value engineering centres and in an engineering consultant environment </li></ul><br> Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role. <br><br>If you're an experienced Civil Engineer, ready for your next project, then we are keen to hear from you today. <br><br>Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity! <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
