Your Role: As a Manager of Software Engineering, you’ll have a significant impact on the growth of our Security products by partnering with Product Management to drive this on-premise product portfolio. You will be responsible for ensuring that engineering teams are aligned to strategic product roadmaps and delivering on commitments to support both existing and new customers. As a leader, you will be responsible for building resiliency in your engineering teams and taking ownership of the growth and strength of those teams. Responsibilities Be the technical leader for your products Grow, coach, and mentor your team members Ensure your team members have the tools and skills they need to do their jobs Know your products and who the customers are Drive solutions to technical problems Work with Product Managers, Product Owners, UX Designers, and engineers to identify needs, understand requirements, and develop iterative solutions Participate in feature discussions and high-level analysis, oversee high-level architecture design Ensure the team is meeting release commitments Drive security expectations for your products and teams Vocalize opportunities, make recommendations, and drive solutions to innovate and improve products Qualifications Strong technical background in engineering Experience as a leader in a software development team Experience with agile methodologies Strong communication skills English language proficiency Experience with development of SaaS/Cloud products and solutions Proficiency in one or more programming languages, related frameworks, and best practices Experience with test automation and unit testing
