Join us on this journey…and imagine just how far we’ll go. Position Summary The Finance Director for Middle East & Africa will be responsible for all finance aspects in the MEA region. He/She will partner closely with the MEA Commercial Leadership Team and external partners to secure and build value. He/She ensures high standards of integrity and stewardship of financials, playing a key role in developing the financial team in MEA. Scope of the role The Finance Director will be recognized as an influential and collaborative business partner who effectively engages at all levels of the organization to shape and drive MEA goals and objectives as follows: Develops and implements financial strategies to support the company's growth and productivity objectives Develops a high performing MEA Finance team focused on effective business partnering, strong internal controls and effective accounting processes. Anticipates business trends, assess risks and recommends alternative solutions and contingency plans to ensure meeting financial and business objectives Partners closely with the GM of MEA and functions as a member of MEA senior management team and regional finance team Provides information and analysis in the form of options for clear and swift decision making. Strong stewardship of financial operations and reporting with the highest level of integrity. Drives appropriate differentiation in resource allocation. Drives productivity through the identification of possible opportunities and gaining acceptance. Recommends and implements plans to improve cash flow. Ability to maintain strong internal controls & Compliance environment while delivering superior results Establishing a high level of credibility and managing strong working relationships with external partners such as banks, accountants, consultants, distribution partners and internal business partners Key Responsibilities Partner with the commercial management team to develop and manage financial information for success of the business including specific brand support and OPEX control Shape resource allocation across the market to maximize value creation Build, lead and develop the finance team covering FP&A, Controllership including Accounts Receivable, Customer service and BCF position Active member of the MEA management team. Active member of the LR finance team Lead and manage financial interactions with distributors and CSO partners and build strong working relationships with other external partners such as banks, consultants etc Build strong, achievable and balanced budgets and projections with transparent reporting of risks and opportunities Ensure Financial reporting in accordance with the law, local statutory regulations and US GAAP accounting principles working closely with central TAN and accounting teams Accountable for all Accounting, Taxes, US and local statutory reporting and order to cash matters and reporting Assess impact of business evolution, strategy and requirements on Legal Entity results and cash flow, including intercompany funding, treasury management, debt collection. Create legal entity budgets and forecasts and lead discussions with Corporate Tax and Corporate Treasury on tax, funding and profitability issues. Maintain strong internal controls and ensure appropriate compliance and risk management of external partners Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 10 years relevant experience University/College degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is required MBA or professional Finance qualification preferred Languages Full professional proficiency in English Another language (Arabic or French) is a plus Locations Dubai, UAE Compensation Grade EG-140 Around the world, we are passionate about making an impact on the lives of patients with serious diseases.
