Business Development Manager - Engineering & Industrial Software

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced software Business Development Manager reporting directly to the Director of Industrial Software. The key aim of this role is to support and drive rapid growth of AVEVAs solutions in Australia, sold by Schneider Electric with a strong focus on the customer experience. Specific responsibilities will include but not limited to: Developing a detailed understanding of targeted markets and understanding of the customer value propositon Management of a strong network of internal and external contacts and leveraging leads from Sales & Marketing in addition to personally developed end user relationships Delivery of solutions that are a mixture of both direct and via channel partners The ability to prospect, sell and then manage a pipeline of opportunities with accuracy and focus on achieving sales targets Securing new accounts in chosen Market Segments including Consumer Packaged Good, Food & Beverage, Mining and Manufacturing Positioning a Digital solutions, with subscription based software and services. About You We’re not looking for just anyone, we never have. In addition to this: you have a solid track record of selling Software Solutions in an Industrial Automation Market . understanding of business challenges and solutions associated with food & beverage, manufacturing, metals, mining & minerals and water sectors would be an advantage you have a true ‘hunter’ mentality, and thrive on discovering new opportunities proven ability to build a pipeline of future opportunities for an extensive portfolio as well as to generate and qualify leads strong negotiating skills, proven ability to negotiate high valve or complex business arrangements of a long-term nature a Customer First approach to understanding clients business needs, discovering value and effective management of opportunities that drive successful outcomes. That’s all the functional stuff but equally critical is your energy, curiosity, customer focus and ability to collaborate extensively, remaining a selfless and committed team player.
