Field Service Engineer - Belgium

Role Overview The Field Service Engineer will install, maintain and service ADS equipment sites specific to CT and other Rapiscan systems equipment in the assigned area. Maintain and develop strong relationships with customer, distributor representatives, ensuring Customer Satisfaction at an international level and in UK as required. Responsibilities Installation and international service support of Rapiscan’s Advanced Detection Systems (ADS), primarily CT product line, at our customer’s premises primarily overseas and occasionally in the UK. Technical: Maintain all Rapiscan products as scheduled primarily at overseas customer sites and occasionally in the UK as well. Electronic / mechanical: Total system level trouble-shooting on complex multi-system problems. Proficient IT skills. Customer skills: Daily interface with operators, technicians and BHS managers on equipment status issues. Site surveys; Carry site surveys for efficient installation of CT and RTT systems. Cost awareness: Ensure common practices and efficient methods are applied for Service provided and adheres to SLA requirements. Documentation: Ensure timely completion of Field Modification Instructions and Planned Maintenance, corrective repair, Service inspections documentation for assigned accounts and file Service Reports promptly. Installations: Play a key role in complex and multifunctional site installations. Assist senior engineers in installation and other related work. Shares best practices. Training: Proactively seek training to keep up-to-date with technological developments in own modality/modalities. Other Duties: As directed by manager or company. Quality: Promptly escalate any quality or integrity issue. Shift pattern including call outs may be required as part of the role. Any other departmental ad-hoc duties when required. Ability to obtain airport security passes (will require criminal record check and references). Willingness to travel extensively overseas, at short notice, and stay for periods anywhere from 1-4 weeks as and when required. Qualifications Qualified to degree level in Electrical and/or Electronics or equivalent. (HND or above). Technical analytical & Trouble-shooting skills. Very good IT Skills with knowledge of networking. PLC knowledge a very good advantage. PLC knowledge a plus, but not required. 2-5 years field service experience. Comprehensive knowledge of screening or X-ray an advantage although full training will be provided. Ability to work independently with minimum direction. High work standards - qualitatively, demonstrates initiative and motivation. Strong customer communication skills. This role is remote field service role for the UK and Overseas.
