Wood - Commissioning Support - Completions Coordinator

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood Canada Limited is looking for a Commissioning Support - Completions Coordinator to provide turnover support in our Voisey's Bay Office. <br><br>This position will support the Vale VBME Commissioning group in Voisey's Bay, NL. We are seeking highly qualified and experienced personnel to work as part of the Vale Projects team in a range of areas including services to the team that facilitates execution of capital and modifications/shutdown projects. Knowing what to do, and equally important, what not to do, is critical when confronted with daily unplanned events or circumstances during field execution of projects. Inherently by its nature and type of work, including first energization of equipment, construction in a brown field environment is a higher risk activity, and there is no room for improvisation. <br><br> The position of VBME Commissioning Technical Support - Completion team coordinates the Completion activities as it pertains to the field execution of project tasks. The position will be a direct report to the VBME Completions System Lead. <br><br>The successful candidate will be responsible for Day-to-day duties and deliverables as follows: <br><ul><li> Responsible for implementation on a day-to-day basis of a strong health and safety culture in line with Vale's Safety and Health and Environment management system. </li><li> Champion the completion system and turnover process. </li><li> Participate in construction meetings. </li><li> Review Scope of Work and Engineering Change Notices to make sure scope assigned to the subsystem has not changed. </li><li> Review contractor as-built documents to make sure conforms to project standard. </li><li> Provide guidance on the use of the electronic completion system. </li><li> Organizing and facilitating Transfer of Custody walks between construction contractors. </li><li> Organizing and facilitating Final Walk-Down with Contractor and Vale Commissioning. </li><li> Maintain construction & commissioning punch lists; </li><li> Facilitate partial turnover process between construction and pre-commissioning / commissioning. </li><li> Overall coordination & agreement between construction and commissioning for sub-system turnover. </li><li> Driving final subsystem completion for construction. </li><li> Communicate and work collaboratively with various project disciplines and the operating group. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b>Essential Skills / Qualifications & Assets:</b> <br><ul><li> Strong understanding of construction and commissioning activities as it pertains to project completion and turnover. </li><li> Previous field level experience on completions / turnover process on large projects. </li><li> Previous experience with Vale Commissioning's completions / turnover group is seen as an asset. </li><li> Previous experience with electronic completion systems. </li><li> Demonstrate proficiency in the understanding of construction drawings and technical documents. </li><li> Comfortable working in a team-based environment while possessing the ability to manage and prioritize day to day duties and deliverables. </li><li> Demonstrate proficiency in the use MS Excel & Outlook. </li><li> Strong Organization Skills </li><li> Strong Communication Skills, both Written & Oral </li><li> Valid Class 5 driving license </li><li> Safety focused in the field, ability to prioritize self and others </li></ul><br> <b>Work Site and Schedule</b> <br><ul><li> Position is based in Voisey's Bay, the shift schedule is 2 weeks in 2weeks out, working 12hr days, for the 14days on site and 1day for travel out (10hrs). The rotation / shift / schedule may change to meet the needs of the project execution effort.
