Lead Project Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently looking for a Lead Project Engineer to join the Duqm Refinery Project in Oman <br><br><ul><li> Work in coordination with procurement and subcontracting group as well as estimate department </li><li> Coordinate disciplines activities and control and forecast work area activities and deliverables against schedule </li><li> Coordinate with Junior Project Engineers during the preparation of key project documents (P&ID's, line list, equipment list etc.) </li><li> Organize, contribute and prepare notes for multidiscipline meetings to affect the timely completion of the requisition </li><li> Contribute and participate to work in an enthusiastic manner, working to the requirements of quality and environmental management systems maintained to ISO standards </li><li> Propose and recommend appropriate solution as necessary to maintain compliance with local authority requirements </li><li> Ensure that company policies, procedures and controls are adhered to, at all times </li><li> Lead the development of and approve all registers and reports </li><li> Devise own work methods and working practices independently within the framework of established policies and guidelines in order achieve project objectives as necessary </li><li> Be exposed to different cultures, backgrounds and environments. Attend to and resolve conflicts, challenges and problems related to a large multi-cultural and multi-discipline technical workforce </li><li> Execute activities with the highest required level of confidentiality </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Degree in an engineering discipline from a recognized university preferably chemical engineering </li><li> Experience in Refinery commissioning / Operations </li><li> A minimum of fiteen years' experience in execution of major downstream Oil & Gas projects, of which a minimum of five years experience as Lead Project Engineer or leadership roles </li><li> Proven track record in Refinery Process Units project </li><li> Experienced as a Leader in Major Greenfield Refinery Projects </li><li> Experienced in the implementation of industry best practices and Company's systems, processes and standards </li><li> Proven ability to apply sound judgment and analytical skills due to the complex and diversified nature of the position </li><li> Extensive skills in management and leadership, team building, effective communication, conflict resolution and presentations </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
