Help generate business to increase revenues through sales of Weatherford products and services. This is the fully qualified level job for Field Engineer, who have a demanding, hands-on job that makes use of the latest technologies to deliver solutions for our clients. Acts to manage field crews whenever necessary but also with a great deal of autonomy and responsibility. They are trained and certified to maintain and run Special Services operations, among others. Provides expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of technical products and systems. Resolves highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.<br><br>Responsibilities and duties: <br><ul><li>Must be proficient in calculating basic oil industry volumes, pressures and forces </li><li>Have a keen understanding of different facets of field operations including but not limited to completions, remedial work-overs, cementation and fracturing</li><li>Operation and Management of a Mobile Wireline field unit and crew</li><li>Operation of proprietary surface computer system to collect , QC, and analyze complex geological, geophysical, and mechanical readings from subsurface well logging tools</li><li>Able to work effectively on mast units as well as logging or service/drilling rigs</li><li>Perform maintenance and repairs on company equipment requiring mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot</li><li>Isolating and solving complex problems on the job sire with assistance of technical support groups</li><li>Accurate & thorough completion of job reports on a timely basis. </li><li>Perform Perforating Operations, Pressure Control, Plug Setting Operations, Ranging Operations</li><li>Assist in the shop when available </li><li>Available on a 24 hours call basis </li><li>Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions. </li><li>Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford. </li><li>Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level. </li><li>Perform various other duties and activities within the physical constraints of the job.</li></ul> <br><br><b> Qualifications </b><br><br>REQUIRED<br><ul><li>Previous experience as a Cased Hole Specialist</li><li>Ability to obtain NRCAN approval letter, Blasters Permit</li><li>Valid Class 5 Driver License with clean record</li><li>Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite</li><li>Mechanical Aptitude and ability to perform necessary repairs</li></ul><br><br>PREFERRED<br><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Geology/Earth Sciences</li><li>Valid class 1 or 3 Driver License</li><li>General product knowledge </li><li>Self-motivator, self-starter </li><li>Good oral and written communication skills</li><li>Able to work closely with fellow employees</li></ul>
