This is what defines and differentiates us.<br> <br>By working together every day, we're bringing energy to life.<br><br><b>Company : ADNOC HQ</b><br> <br><b>Job Title :Advisor, Strategy</b><br><br><b>Job Purpose</b><br><br>The Advisor, Strategy actively delivers the day-to-day activities of the newly created Strategy, Portfolio & Assurance function within ADNOC Upstream Directorate. The function was created as part of the reorganization initiative and an ongoing effort to transform ADNOC Upstream into a truly global, commercially minded and performance-driven organization. The Strategy & Business Development division is within Strategy, Portfolio & Assurance function, and the Advisor, Strategy reports to the Vice President, Strategy & Business Development.<br><br><b>Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)</b><ul> <li>The scope of the role is not restricted to ADNOC Upstream, but covers the entire Upstream value chain, and all upstream operations conducted by ADNOC Group Companies, by ADNOC sole-risk, or by companies reporting directly to the SCFEA active within Abu Dhabi. The Advisor, Strategy will be responsible for all aspects of ADNOC Upstream Strategy and will provide support to the function on Business Development, Portfolio Management, Market Intelligence & Stakeholder Management. </li> </ul><br><b>Strategy:</b><ul> <li>Develop upstream strategies built on the key pillars - People, Profitability and Sustainability and ensure that such strategies are developed based on an upstream portfolio built for delivering more value from every barrel of oil.</li> <li>Provide strategy perspective to major upstream decisions and ongoing strategic topics to ensure the success of the strategy and to accelerate the delivery of strategic objectives.</li> <li>Translate upstream strategy into portfolio initiatives to be incorporated in Group Companies and ADNOC Business Plans and provide support to leadership during the planning process on emerging issues to be addressed.</li> <li>Supervise and conduct studies and design the ADNOC Upstream strategy ensuring correct and proper translation of strategic business objectives into practical business plans and performance indicators, to ensure the Upstream strategy is communicated, aligned, monitored, and measured and business excellence is achieved</li> <li>Conduct analysis and lead the development of Upstream strategies and strategic initiatives and support in the development of other Business Line Directorate' strategies including for New Energies.</li> </ul><br><b>Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 2)</b><br><br><b>Business Development:</b><ul> <li>Support to execute commercial activities ranging from the initial identification of the new business opportunity through initial evaluations and interim approvals to partner selection, management approvals and deal closing.</li> </ul><br><b>Portfolio Management:</b><ul> <li>Contribute to strategic analysis of business portfolio to identify area of growth, value creation, synergy opportunities, business optimization and standardization to ensure growth and sustainability of the upstream business and ensure maximization of ADNOC's value to Abu Dhabi.</li> </ul><br><b>Market Intelligence:</b><ul> <li>Review and contribute in the reports to be shared with Upstream leadership on the status of the ADNOC upstream impacting and global emerging issues, in addition to supporting analysis/reports on activities relevant to Strategy, Portfolio & Assurance function to ensure ADNOC continues to effectively lead, thrive, and compete in today's new energy landscape.</li> </ul><br><b>Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 3)</b><br><br><b>Stakeholder Management:</b><ul> <li>Review and contribute to the contents prepared for Upstream leadership including subject matter briefs, analysis and reporting of information involving projects, capital expenditures (CAPEX), operating expenditures (OPEX), organizational changes, acquisitions, mergers, and emerging technologies across the Upstream Group Companies.</li> </ul><br><b>Generic Accountabilities</b><br><br><b>Supervision</b><br> • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.<br> • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.<br> <b>Budgets</b><br> • Provide input for preparation of the Function/Division/Department/Section budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver objectives.<br> • Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.<br> <b>Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures</b><br> • Implement approved Function/Division/Department/Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.<br> <b>Performance Management</b><br> • Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Function/Division/Department/ Section in line with the Company Performance framework.<br> <b>Innovation and Continuous Improvement</b><br> • Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.<br> • Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.<br> <b>Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability</b><br> • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.<br> <b>Reports</b><br> • Provide inputs to prepare Function/Division/Department/Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.<br><br><b>Generic Accountabilities (continue)</b><br><br><b>Internal Communications & Working Relationships</b><br><br>• ADNOC Group CEO.<br> • Director, The Executive Office.<br> • EVP, The Executive Office.<br> • Any other Directorate / Function, as required.<br><br><b>External Communications & Working Relationships</b><br><br>• Shareholders<br> • Counterparts & members of the ADNOC Group, as required.<br> • Local and international vendors, contractors and third party service providers.<br> • Government organisations and entities.<br><br><b>Minimum Qualification</b><ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Management, Engineering or equivalent</li> </ul><br><b>Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills</b><ul> <li>10 years' experience in strategic planning, management and projects, preferably in large Oil & Gas company or oil & gas practise of a strategy consultancy.</li> <li>Thorough knowledge of the Corporate Strategic Planning framework in the Oil and Gas industry.</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge of industry best practice and trends.</li> <li>Comprehensive understanding to a variety of qualitative and quantitative analysis, knowledge, and skills.</li> <li>Strategic Planning skills, Ability to manage multiple tasks.</li> <li>Exceptional analytical and negotiation skills.</li> <li>High level of communication, presentation of technical and business writing skills.</li> </ul><br><b>Professional
