Our technology stack: Languages: MySQL, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, JavaScript, React. Technologies: AWS services, Kubernetes, Microservices, Elasticsearch, Redis. We also use AWS LocalStack and Docker for development environments. Position Overview: Writes quality code which is deployed to high visibility applications and websites serving customers, prospects and i nternal users. Works with a team to ensure that designs and engineering practices are sound. Works with Product Managers to determine requirements for releases of new features. Provides technical solutions and discusses pros and cons of different approaches while effectively balancing long-term strategy and short-term deliverable goals. Effectively debugs any code and proposes strategies for improving code quality. Works on a team which follows fast agile process with 2-week sprint release cycle. Responsibilities Identifies and works on a variety of challenging problems. Helps defining and delivering valuable, usable and automatically testable user stories. Provides guidance on design and best practices in software development. Participates on test automation and its improvements. Solves escalations & customer issues, does root cause analysis and bug prevention. Works with Sales, Support, Customers on resolving escalations & customer issues, root cause analysis and issue prevention. Mentors other team members to become better engineers. Works under minimal supervision. Identifies and addresses root cause of issues. Evaluates other options using research data. High skill level in Coding. Independently develops complex features through multiple layers (frontend, backend, etc.). Provides technical feedback and assistance on others' code and design. Debugs and troubleshoots in customer’s environment. Uses low level operating systems knowledge to troubleshoot complex issues. High skill level in Software Design. Designs architecture of complex features with multiple components. Efficiently uses design patterns. Reviews component and feature designs. High skill level in Testing. Identifies design and architecture issues early. Designs proper type of test on the right architecture level. High skill level in Test Automation. Designs and implements new tests and libraries. Implements proper type of test on the right architecture level. High skill level in Product Design. Designs the usability of new features. Follows and improves existing usability guidelines. Qualifications Qualifications 3-5 Years of software development. Strong JavaScript background and frontend libraries experience (for example,React, Angular, Vue). Backend development experience (for example, Java, Ruby, Node.js, PHP, Python).
