SAP BI/HANA Analyst

About role <br> Schlumberger has an opening Bogota, Colombia for a BI Analyst, who will be responsible for working with SAP BI / HANA Team in designing, developing, and deploying SAP BI and Power BI Solutions to cater to the growing Business demand.<br> Key responsibilities <ul> <li> Work with Domain and Technical Teams to design and implement SAP BI/HANA and reporting solutions</li> <li> Perform Data Modelling to create HANA Information Models to cater to the business needs</li> <li> Interact with Business Stakeholders to understand their structured and ad-hoc reporting requirements, business rules for Finance and other SAP Domains</li> <li> Leverage data warehousing concepts and knowledge, SDI/SDA and ETL development methodologies to contribute to overall planning by recommending approaches for deployment within the defined Timelines</li> <li> Engage in the day-to-day activities within each program to understand progress, provide guidance where needed, ensure adherence to plans/expectations/methodology, hold teams and individuals accountable for milestones and deliverables.</li> <li> Support BI or HANA internal users during US time zone to help with their access or technical inquiries.</li> </ul> <br> <br> People <ul> <li> Will work as an individual contributor within the team</li> <li> Create a culture of integrity and compliance</li> </ul> Technology <ul> <li> Write technical specifications and review with Technical Architects</li> <li> Configure, prepare, and test deliverables to meet designs.</li> <li> Provide consulting and conduct reviews through the development lifecycle</li> <li> Manage deliverables according to the Software Development Lifecycle</li> <li> Deployment and Testing of HANA Information Models/Reporting Interfaces in Dev, Quality and Production environments</li> <li> Follows the technical governance (standards, best practices, etc.)</li> </ul> <br> <br> Business <ul> <li> Engage with the business segments and internal stakeholders to capture SAP BI requirements, </li> <li> Work closely with analysts, designers, and SMEs</li> <li> Work closely with internal stakeholders associated with IT.</li> </ul> Qualifications and Requirements Essential qualifications <ul> <li> Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field</li> <li> 4-8 years of Experience in implementing SAP BI HANA Solutions using BW or Native HANA Modelling</li> <li> 3 years of experience in SAP BusinessObjects or Power BI techniques</li> <li> Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills</li> </ul> Key competencies in BI Technologies <ul> <li> Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.</li> <li> Knowledge of programming language relevant to BI and analytics (DAX, SQL etc.).</li> <li> Experience in developing SAP BW modelling, and HANA Models like - Calculated Views -Graphical and Script, stored Procedures and Table Functions required</li> <li> Good knowledge of HANA view optimization and performance techniques with good understanding of overall HANA Architecture</li> <li> Strong experience in HANA programming with SQL and database procedural languages such as PLSQL</li> <li> Basic Knowledge in Data provisioning technology including SAP LT Replication Server, Smart Data Integration (SDI).</li> <li> Deep understanding of the SAP data structures, fields, and how to best utilize the analytical and reporting solutions in S/4HANA, specifically Core Data Services (CDS) views based Virtual Data Model (VDM). </li> <li> Demonstrated experience with BI and data integration tools. Preferred ones: SAP Business Objects Suite (all components)/Visualization Tools (Power BI), SAP S4 HANA, HANA Live Views, and related development.</li> <li> Demonstrate proven development experience with SAP BusinessObjects (4.1 or higher). Knowledge in design, publishing, and maintenance of Power BI data models with interrelated tables connected.</li> <li> Cross Domain knowledge like FICO, MM, SD, EAM will be an added advantage.</li> </ul> Other skills and abilities <ul> <li> Ability to work in global distributed setting without supervision</li> <li> Self-driven, Proactive, Systems Thinking</li> <li> Open to travel abroad and in Colombia</li> </ul>
