<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is searching for an OIM/Barge Supervisor with offshore experience in the oil and gas industry for a temporary six month assignment. <br><br> Work schedule of 14x14 with a work terminal out of Galveston, TX. <br><br> Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required. <br><br><ul><li> Excellent understanding of Offshore Oil & Gas Industry and of the Operations & Maintenance functions </li><li> Thorough knowledge and experience of the requirements of the oil and gas industry combined with skills and experience of leading a multi discipline offshore operations and maintenance team </li><li> Experienced in effective application of Permit-to-Work systems </li><li> Considerable experience in hazard awareness and excellent underpinning knowledge of the nature of the principal hazards associated with an offshore installation </li><li> Demonstrate project and maintenance management professionalism </li><li> Proven budget control / commercial skills </li><li> Competent at carrying out complex risk assessment and analysis </li><li> Competent understanding of all relevant standards and procedures </li><li> Ability to lead accident/incident investigations and to carry out statutory reporting requirements </li><li> Excellent knowledge of the installation emergency procedures and equipment; especially fixed and portable firefighting equipment, life support equipment and emergency evacuation and search & rescue techniques </li><li> Exceptional understanding of the functionality and executive actions of the Fire & Gas Detection and the Emergency Shutdown Systems </li><li> Thorough knowledge of all major process systems and equipment on the installation </li><li> Good knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation applicable to offshore installations and of the related OIM responsibilities in particular </li><li> Competent in Emergency Response Procedures and Instructions </li><li> Ability to define typical worksite precautions for a range of operations </li><li> Excellent understanding of the regulatory limits and monitoring requirements for emissions and discharges. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> A current OIM marine license </li><li> OIM Legislation and Regulations training and OIM competency-assessed. </li><li> 5+ years offshore experience in a leadership role. </li><li> Supervisory qualification </li><li> Good technical background with substantial experience of leading multidisciplinary teams. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
