Location: Houston, TX Department: SE GP I SV NA FO TR GTM Job Grade: SERVITE11- Field Service Representative Mechanical Mode of Employment: Permanent / Full-time LET’S TALK ABOUT YOU Your profile The MGT 600-800 field service engineer mechanical lead is a Region North America position reporting to the Medium Gas Turbine Fleet Manager in the Siemens Energy group, based in the USA. This is a position responsible for performing various facets involving the installation, commissioning, and servicing of the company’s nameplate MGT 600-800 product lines. The position is the primary source of technical information and services at our customer sites. The FSR serves as the link between our customers and the rest of the company including but not limited to management, sales, and technical support. Our FSR’s maintain the highest levels of professionalism and premier service attitude. 5-8 years experience as a mechanic on Industrial or Aeroderivative Gas Turbines. High School diploma, GED or technical vocational or apprenticeship training, combined with prior mechanical field service or equivalent related experience. Familiar with strip/rebuild of rotating mechanical equipment, function of associated equipment and auxiliary air, fuel and oil systems. Experience with endoscopic inspections and techniques. Familiarity with laser alignment a plus. The FSR is technically responsible for all facets of the company’s scope of work during equipment installation and/or subsequent service inspections/outages. This role is focused on MGT 600-800 mechanical service, but ability to cross train and be utilized in related product families is expected. Your responsibilities Maintain the highest level of a zero-harm culture by following and enforcing all company and customer EHS policies and programs. mechanical installation, commissioning, service and maintenance of gas turbine packages in Region North America according to contract and deadlines. Able to carry out and supervise mechanical aspects of Gas Turbine Inspection procedures such as visual inspection, borescope Inspection, filter changes, valve servicing including return to service following correct standards and procedures. Maintain an accurate record of activity carried out on site – Produce written reports Interact with different levels of customer and Siemens organizations to report progress, resolve issues, and identify potential services to be offered based on customer needs. Communicate progress, schedules, and open items with client. Prepare detailed technical reports. Travel for extended periods of time, both domestic and international as assigned. Must carry valid passport, be able to pass both required background checks and required drug and alcohol testing. International assignments are likely to include travel to developing countries Able to perform duties on day or night shift under difficult conditions, heat, cold, noise, etc. Able to travel on short notice, work weekends and holidays.
