Supply Chain Manager

Overview: This role supports two of the four Business Units within the Canada OU: Cereal and Yogurt, representing approximately 50% of the RNS of total Canada. Cereal is sourced from the US supply chain and imported to Canada, while Yogurt is produced and distributed exclusively within Canada. In this role, the Supply Chain Manager will develop and execute against strategic priorities within these BU’s including leading BU teams towards successful delivery of holistic margin management, innovation, and renovation initiatives. They will drive strategic thinking at the BU level, ensuring adequate resources are allocated to prioritize growth and that the end-to-end supply chain is considered across decisions. Responsibilities: Lead the appropriate PEAK (SR), RUN (L4/L5) and Sales & Operations Execution (“S&OE”) processes (including Recovery actions when needed) in collaboration with each BU to orchestrate trade-off decisions with Commercial and Sales teams to optimize SC performance and delivery of BU strategy Provide oversight and input into COGS and Indirects/controllables affecting SC cost Provide leadership and coordination for Cross Segment/OU Projects & Platform standards Collaborate with peer SCMs to develop and implement standard processes across NA Ops Monitor and triage RUN variation with escalation to Pillars for critical resolution Develop and implement platform SC Master Plans to deliver against key metrics with other SC functions Optimize platform strategies and tactics while ensuring full consideration/representation of E2E SC Create specific strategy and project charters to be handed off to SCPMs or Pillar resources for detailed vetting and execution Quarterback the SC resources and represent the E2E SC in all business meetings Monitor critical E2E SC metrics that impact business outcomes and orchestrate crisis management and/or issue resolution with appropriate SC Pillar resources Ensure adequate resources to support platform / BU objectives including SC and Innovation / Technology / Quality (“ITQ”) alignment Partner with Commercial and Sales partners to drive portfolio optimization and complexity reduction Develop project plans to deliver annual targets though Commercialization and support Chartering and assignment to Project Management Review joint scorecards monthly with Pillar Leaders to ensure predictable delivery against BU annual targets Develop joint scorecard to be reviewed monthly with Commercial and Sales leaders to ensure predictable delivery against BU annual targets Collaborate with Pillar Leaders towards the development of a robust HMM pipeline and delivery of HMM Targets Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree 6-8 years of related experience People leadership End-to-end supply chain competency Strong business acumen Vision-oriented Problem solver Strong communicator General Mills is committed to Employment Equity and encourages applications from all qualified candidates.
