BMS is seeking a Senior Market Access Manager who will be responsible for the management and development of strategies and activities to support the BMS portfolio and business in Australia & New Zealand. The position requires management and input into HTA reimbursement submissions (PBAC, MSAC, PHARMAC) that will deliver optimal market access solutions for Australian & New Zealand patients. Key disease areas to be covered include oncology, cardiovascular, haematology, immunology and fibrosis. This role will report to the Associate Director - Access, Policy and Advocacy. Key Responsibilities Generation of sound and robust reimbursement and pricing strategies that deliver optimal market access (time, volume, value) for BMS medicines. Deliver high quality written HTA submissions and associated reports to support the timely reimbursement of BMS medicines in Australia and New Zealand. Lead the design and development of economic and financial evaluations for HTA submissions (i.e. cost-effectiveness analyses, cost-minimisation analyses, budget impact analyses). Provide technical expertise and leadership to the Market Access team in developing strategic approaches to address gaps and optimise reimbursement outcomes for BMS medicines. Prepare robust business case proposals to successfully secure necessary internal approvals as per governance frameworks as efficiently as possible. Participate as an active member of the Market Access team and collaborative business partner across the local and global organisation. Communicate and garner alignment on finalized market access strategies with internal stakeholders (local, ICON & WW) Working with other stakeholders such as Medical, Global Regulatory Science, Finance, BIA (Business Insights & Analytics) and Legal on various projects requiring market access expertise. Membership on Brand Teams as access representative, helping to drive commercialisation and access for patients. Foster relationships with external stakeholders (DoH, Medicines Australia, KOLs). Qualifications, experience and competencies Knowledge gained from a tertiary degree in Economics, Sciences or Pharmacy &/or Post- graduate degree in Health Economics or Business. Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including fields related to Health Economics and Market Access. Previous experience in drafting PBAC, PBAC/MSAC co-dependent, & PHARMAC submissions. Previous experience in the pricing of pharmaceuticals in Australian & New Zealand; together with an understanding of local pharma companies pricing processes. Excellent understanding of the Australian healthcare system, HTA process/concepts and pricing dynamics for pharmaceutical medicines. Experience and/or desire in building local relationships/networks with department and key external stakeholders, and an ability to effectively and persuasively articulate complex issues to them. Proven ability to understand, operate and communicate in technically complex therapeutic areas. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to a diverse audience through various formats (e.g. oral presentations, written proposals, reports &/or correspondences). Background in a rapid-response environment, managing competing demands within tight deadlines and ability to demonstrate resilience and agility to cope with ambiguity and change. A strong-operational focus, team-orientation and a competitive spirit. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence others to take actions, especially those over which there is no formal authority. Demonstrated track-record of displaying core BMS behaviours: Passion, Innovation, Urgency, Inclusion, Integrity, Accountability.
