Senior Pipeline Designer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for Senior Pipeline Designer to strengthen our team in Dubai <br><ul><li> Carry out assigned pipeline design work as part of a multi-discipline project team </li><li> To provide discipline specific design and drafting services that meet the Project and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements </li><li> Assume responsibility for the Pipeline design/drafting scope for the project </li><li> Develop cost effective pipeline design and drawings </li><li> To coordinate with other disciplines for interdisciplinary checks </li><li> Display a working knowledge of industry standard drafting practices, good mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of engineering </li><li> To prepare pipeline route studies, desktop studies based on survey inputs </li><li> To prepare Pipeline Overall Route Maps, Key Plans, Alignment Sheets, Station Approach drawings Alignment sheets, pipeline typical construction drawings, etc. in accordance with project specifications, international cods and standards </li><li> Preparation of Pipeline Detail / Bulk MTO </li><li> To carry out detailed high quality site visits, pipeline route surveys and associated data collection </li><li> Preparation of Piping input Drawings for On-plot / off-plot interface Areas at Process Plant </li><li> Coordination with Topographical Contractors and Site personnel for preparation of AFC Alignment sheets </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Diploma qualification or HND in Mechanical Engineering </li><li> Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in an engineering design company </li><li> Knowledge of site-based project work involving field engineering and construction </li><li> Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred </li><li> Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage </li><li> Previous Onshore Oil and Gas related Pipeline design experience </li><li> Thorough awareness of International Design Guidelines and Standards </li><li> A determination to continually improve safety in all aspects of plant design and operation </li><li> Familiarity with typical software packages that are used in preparing pipeline design drawings (Auto CAD, Google Earth) </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
