<b>International Logistics Specialist</b> <br> <br> <b>Job Summary:</b><br> <br> Responsible for the execution of international logistics operations for the Geomarket(s) at competitive costs while meeting the required delivery date, service level and safety requirements of field operations.<br> <br> <b>Relationships:</b><br> <ul> <li> Reports to Logistics Leader and maintains a close working relationship with the following:</li> <li> Product Line OPRM Team (GeoMarket, Center)</li> <li> Product Line Supply Lead (PLSL)</li> <li> Domestic Logistics Specialist</li> <li> Customer Service Team (SRE)</li> <li> International Freight Forwarders</li> <li> Import/Export Specialist/Manager</li> <li> Shared Base Support</li> </ul> <br> <b>Team Objectives:</b><br> <ul> <li> Manage international movement of assets, products, and materials upon request of the OPRM Resource Coordinator(s) or MCT Supply Specialist.</li> <li> Plan and allocate third-party resources that execute the international shipment, and coordinate with the GeoMarket Import & Export, Domestic Planning Specialist for domestic movements to/from the country port exit/entry.</li> <li> Optimize equipment utilization, select the most cost-effective routings, comply with selection of preferred contracted carriers, and secure delivery per the established service level.</li> </ul> <br> <b>Activities:</b><br> <ul> <li> Plan shipments that meet required delivery dates (RDD) from operations and identify consolidation opportunities.</li> <li> Responsible for managing product line expectation at the early stage of shipment RDD vs Possible Delivery Date.</li> <li> Ensure the maximum usage of Schlumberger contract rates when arranging shipments.</li> <li> Responsible for requesting quotations for non-contractual lanes, negotiation with the different freight forwarders and offers analysis (cost and lead times)</li> <li> Responsible to coordinate with Export team in the different geomarkets, the creation of the proper commercial invoice for the export process.</li> <li> Manage operational logistics transactions with the logistics suppliers ensuring the best possible performance</li> <li> Responsible and accountable for timely sending of pre-alert to the receiving location and accurate EDD vs RDD</li> <li> Be the GeoMarket/Support Center (customer) focal point for international logistics movements.</li> <li> Ensure full compliance of transports with the international transport regulations.</li> <li> Monitor cargo moves status, performance and investigate deviations.</li> <li> Perform real-time tracking and monitoring of shipments and communicate any deviations with stakeholders.</li> <li> Implement proactive and corrective measures combined with appropriate communication when early warning signs of deviation are detected.</li> <li> Manage international logistics movements ensuring compliance with Schlumberger policies. Assesses carrier performance with respect to on-time delivery and on-time pick-up.</li> <li> Ensure full compliance of transports with the international transport regulations.</li> <li> Ensure proper storage of electronic documents in the system. Schlumberger-Private</li> <li> Act as the interface between the Import/Export Teams and assure smooth communication flow between parties.</li> <li> Participate in the performance analysis meeting.</li> <li> Monitor and capture logistics milestone data in the business system.</li> <li> Raise RIRs for service quality incidents and red money in QUEST and escalates to Manager or Team Leader. Follow up on action plan.</li> <li> Any other tasks as assigned by Direct Manager</li> </ul> <br> <b>Processes</b><br> <ul> <li> Freight management</li> <li> Trip execution</li> <li> Master data management</li> <li> Materials transfer management</li> <li> Local regulation</li> </ul> <br> <b>Profile / Preferred Skills:</b><br> <ul> <li> Bachelors degree in Logistics / Engineering / Business Administration</li> <li> Minimum 2+ years of working experience in the Logistics industry.</li> <li> Must have good understanding of logistics processes, freight industry, peculiarities of DG transportation and able to challenge a 3PLs proposed solution</li> <li> Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and collaborative skills</li> <li> Understanding of general logistics process flow - Understanding of local logistics rules and regulations</li> <li> Proficiency / working knowledge of TMS, preferable but not necessary</li> </ul>
