Instrumentation Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Massy Wood is currently recruiting for an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer with experience in the offshore O il and Gas industry. <br><br>The role of Instrument and Control (I&C) Engineer will entail the provision of I&C expertise in service of the Trinidad assets. The Engineer will provide pragmatic solutions for management of risk, production efficiency improvement, maintenance, defect elimination and engineering standardization, related to instrumented protective systems, process controls and alarms, and in support of safe, reliable and compliant operations. The I&C Engineer will support the following: <br><br><b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><ul><li> MoCs for brownfield projects and modifications. </li><li> Actions related to regulatory compliance, deviations from technical practice/specifications, design reviews, procurement support for complex packages, lifecycle operability, Category Management and SQM activities. </li><li> Hazard identification and risk assessment processes. (Comment: Relevant hazard identification and risk assessment processes include MoCs, HAZOPs, LOPAs, HAZIDs, </li><li> Human Factors analysis, What-Ifs, Vulnerability studies, Bow-ties and Risk Action Plans.) </li><li> Perform investigations for incidents and equipment failure </li><li> Ensure that cyber security risk controls are in place </li><li> Ensures that the inspection, testing, maintenance and condition monitoring tasks in CMMS and Operator Workbench are aligned with the technical intent of Equipment Strategies. </li><li> Develop and/ or update the technical content of Equipment Strategies based on equipment performance feedback </li><li> Performs periodic review of CMMS and Operator Workbench effectiveness using relevant equipment performance feedback such as inspection, testing and maintenance data, KPIs, condition monitoring data, equipment MoC and findings from defect investigations. </li><li> Performs reliability analysis for instrument and control equipment using surveillance, maintenance and condition monitoring data, and trends performance metrics. </li><li> Provides I&C expertise to delivery of regional actions. These include HAZOP/LOPA,HVLs, </li><li> Learning Alerts/Bulletins, Audit findings, IRIS/Traction, RAP, F4S, MoC, OPTIMA and engineering studies.) ty lesson </li><li> Records relevant learnings in shared learning systems, incorporates into local activities and escalates high priority items. </li><li> Engineering Support to Construction and Commissioning. </li><li> Offshore Site </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 6 years of experience in conceptual studies, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects in Oil and Gas / Petrochemical. </li><li> Knowledgeable with ISA Standards and other international standards for instrumentation and control, API, AGA, NFPA. </li><li> Knowledge of DCS / PLC based system and Field Instrumentation. </li><li> Familiar with PC based design software for sizing of instruments. </li><li> Preparation of requisition and procurement of instruments and control system. </li><li> Offshore experience is preferrable. </li><li> National citizen or permanent resident of Trinidad & Tobago. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
