Senior NDT Technician

We also use applied technology expertise to serve the defense, entertainment, material handling, aerospace, science, and renewable energy industries. <br><br><b> Duties & Responsibilities </b><br><br><b> Purpose </b> <br><br> To carry out a range of NDT inspection techniques on components, pipework and structural assemblies etc, in order to establish acceptability to specification <br><br> <b> Functions </b> <br><br> ESSENTIAL<ul> <li> Carry out the most effective NDT techniques to components requiring inspection. </li> <li> Ensure that work area is safe to carry out NDT activities. </li> <li> Carry out risk assessments/Take II as required. </li> <li> Ensure NDT equipment function tests are performed according to the procedure and any faulty equipment is detailed back to the supervisor. </li> <li> Ensure inspection is carried out within the parameters of the applicable specification. </li> <li> Evaluate results of the test in accordance with applicable specification </li> <li> Produce a clear and concise report detailing the methods used in and results of the inspection and all finding noting any limitations / test restrictions is applicable. </li> <li> Carry out work in a timely and efficient manner in order to meet deadlines, changing priorities when the situation requires </li> <li> Carry out work in accordance with Oceaneering operating procedures and statutory/client specifications and requirements </li> <li> When performing profile radiography ensure that a minimum of two exposures at 90 degrees are applied. Detail any limitations in reports with photographic evidence. </li> <li> Produce a clear and concise report detailing the methods used in and results of the inspection and all finding noting any limitations / test restrictions is applicable. Ensure any areas of high density are communicated to supervision. </li> <li> Undertake any other duties of a reasonable nature as required by Management </li> <li> Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems </li> </ul><br><b> Qualifications </b><br><br>REQUIRED<ul> <li> Minimum 5 years' experience in NDT </li> <li> Valid NDT Qualifications </li> <li> PCN Level 2 Ultrasonics 3.1, 3.2, 3.8 & 3.9 </li> <li> PCN Level 2 Magnetic Particle </li> <li> PCN Level 2 Dye Penetrant </li> <li> Must have good communication skills </li> <li> IT literate </li> <li> Microsoft Word proficient </li> <li> Microsoft Excel proficient </li> <li> Valid Driving Licence </li> </ul><br>DESIRED<ul> <li> Further NDT qualifications </li> </ul><br><b> Closing Statement </b><br><br>We offer a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to advance in an international company.
