If you share our passion for discovery and want to find out what you could really do, then here is the place to do it. <br><br><b> Job Description </b> <br> Schlumberger Production Chemistry provide chemical solutions to the oil and gas industry ensuring optimal production from wellhead to refinery. The Schlumberger technical services team requires a lab engineer / chemist to perform product performance evaluations and routine analyses of field samples. <br><br>This role involves the handling and manipulation of chemicals and as such applicants must be familiar with standard wet chemistry and analytical techniques. In addition to a strong scientific background, applicants should be excellent communicators, enjoy solving problems, and work well in teams. Previous experience working with oilfield production chemicals (corrosion / scale / wax inhibitors & demulsifiers) is highly desirable.<br><br>Successful candidates will be expected to maintain high QHSE standards, keep accurate records, prepare clear and concise technical reports<br><br><b> Responsibilities </b><br> <br> Process lab requests<br> <br> Product Screening / development<br> <br> Technical report writing<br> <br> Database management<br> <br> General lab equipment maintenance<br> <br> Maintaining calibration records for equipment<br> <br> Maintain QHSE standards (COSHH<br> <br> Use COSHH and Risk assessments for all chemicals and tasks performed in the lab and maintaining tests protocols.<br><br><b> Qualifications </b><br> <ul> <li> BSc. in CHEMISTRY or physical science </li> <li> 1 - 5 Years of chemical lab experience</li> <li> Working knowledge of oilfield production chemistry</li> <li> BOSIET / offshore experience desirable but not essential</li> </ul> <br><br>Schlumberger is an equal opportunity employer.
