Your Role: Solarwinds is looking for a test engineer with strong knowledge of the testing and test automation domain. Join our platform team responsible for building deployment services for our flagship products. You'll be responsible for product quality delivery, technical oversight on automation tests, improving the test processes, and helping the team to follow best automation practices. Responsibilities Work in a team of talented engineers, who are willing to share best practices Ensure quality of our deployment services (mostly for an installer, config wizard, upgrade, HA, deployment settings, DB) Write automation E2E tests to increase the quality of the product Drive test initiatives (functional, security, performance, integration, regression) Work with the SolarWinds automation test community on improving our automation test ecosystem (orchestration, deployment frameworks, reporting, speed up test execution) Qualifications What is required to succeed in this position: Experience with writing automation tests (Our tests are written in C
, Gherkin but whatever language is welcomed. We believe algorithmic thinking is more important than language knowledge.) Good understanding and practical experience with building automation principles Acceptable spoken/written English so you can express your ideas and communicate them to other people What would be helpful (and we are willing to help you with it): Knowledge of JavaScript/Typescript Knowledge of PowerShell Experience with DevOps principles Experience with IT technologies (Networking, Systems Management, Virtualization, Cloud) Knowledge of version control system - GIT Experience with agile processes
