Our internships will give you first-hand insights into the processes, systems and practices that are aligned to ensure customer needs are met through flawless execution and the application of leading-edge technology.<br><br>Part of our software portfolio consists of JewelSuite applications that enable geologists, reservoir engineers, geomechanical engineers and drilling engineers to model the subsurface of the earth and to plan and assist the drilling of wells. Decision makers use these models for planning and optimization of oil & gas field development, of underground storage of CO2, natural gas, or hydrogen, and of geothermal projects.<br><br>These applications created using Microsoft technologies have to deal with large amount of data, which is processed by varieties of algorithms and is visualized in many types of graphical views. One of the main challenges in the development of JewelSuite applications is the performance. This assignment aims to find and solve performance bottlenecks in specific algorithms by introducing innovative ideas and solutions.<br><br>We have two internships available and they will both be explored with you at interview stage:<br><br><b>GeoScience Internship - Underground energy storage </b><br><br><ul><li>Learn how to use JewelSuite software and define the missing tools and functionalities (if any) to permit the setup of a complete workflow for salt caverns modeling and design that can be used for underground energy storage (i.e. gas, oil, NGL, LPG, hydrogen, CCS, etc.)<br></li><li>Understand the rock properties of the salts, their physical and mechanical behavior with different tectonic and overburden conditions, define the required data and tools to design the salt caverns and build the 3D model which could involve in addition to the Subsurface Modelling (i.e. the structural modelling of the salt structures), the Geomechanics, Well Planning, Reservoir Simulation and Drilling Engineering<br></li><li>Propose new add-ins for the salt cavern and storage design and simulation<br></li></ul><br><br><b>Geology Internship - Geological concepts modeling </b><br><ul><li>Learn how to use JewelSuite software and define the missing tools and functionalities (if any) to permit the building of reliable conceptual models for complex geological cases that can be made available for the users as templates when they need to model their complex structures or reservoirs<br></li><li>Learn how to interpret the seismic data, build a Stratigraphic model, Fault model, 3D Structural model and 3D Grid/3D Mesh in JewelSuite. Run the Rock property & Facies Modeling workflow and create Maps and reports<br></li><li>Study and define at least two geological concepts to model in JewelSuite Subsurface Modelling, one with tectonic complexity (i.e. thrust belts, salt bodies, reactivated faults, etc.), and one with sedimentary complexity (i.e. reef/platform carbonate deposits, fluvial/deltaic clastic systems, etc.).<br></li></ul><br><br><b>Partner with the best</b><br><br>Our internship will provide you with the opportunity to become familiar with Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E). You'll participate in technically focused training, team meetings and work on projects and present your results.
