Senior Corrosion/Integrity Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently looking for a Senior Corrosion / Integrity Engineer to join our Asset Integrity Team in Abu Dhabi for a permanent role. <br><br>Job Responsibilities <br><ul><li> Will be shadowing the Materials & Corrosion Lead (Team Lead) for the business in support of the growth and technical assurance delivery </li><li> Carry out Corrosion assessment on pipelines, piping and equipment, preferable software experience (e.g Wood ECE model) </li><li> Providing technical support in project's related tasks; RBI and Corrosion Inspection Manuals for their operating assets and new projects </li><li> Leading engineering assessments based on applicable codes (e.g API 579, BS7910, ASME B31G, NG18, Shannon and Kastner assessment methods, DNVRP F101 etc </li><li> Carry out Pipeline Integrity for all sizes & Lengths of client's pipelines. Equipment assessment is a plus </li><li> Review of Integrity assessment reports, which may include ILI reports, Fitness for Purpose (FFP) / Recommendations for Repair Reports (RRR), ILI raw data, Direct Assessment reports etc. as a primary input </li><li> Recommendation for repair and methodology configuration to be adopted for repair, time frame for repair etc </li><li> The responsibility to mentor and coach the graduate engineers </li><li> Development of corrosion monitoring philosophies and strategies </li><li> Materials and corrosion studies (including coating selection) and specifications </li><li> Developing piping inspection strategies and identification of corrosion monitoring locations </li><li> Development of corrosion management strategies and corrosion manuals </li><li> Performing corrosion-rate calculations, corrosion modelling and contribute to fitness for purpose studies </li><li> Assisting in the training and development of other team members </li><li> Liaising with clients to develop discrete work scopes and build professional working relationship </li><li> Responsible for the ongoing Corrosion Management Programmes and RBI work technical assurance </li><li> Liaise with the Wood global offices for support where needed but expected convergence with Wood Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) </li><li> Sites Visits outside offices as & when required. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Engineering degree from a recognised university or college (Materials / Metallurgy / Chemistry/ Chemical / Mechanical) (Essential) </li><li> Minimum of 10 - 15 years' experience in a role which has had a primary technical function of providing corrosion engineering services in the oil and gas petrochemical industries </li><li> Good soft skills; primarily presentation skills, communication and collaboration with the global offices. </li><li> The candidate may be required to work from the client's office sometimes per project demand </li><li> Familiar with the use of API 571, 580 and 81 codes and familarisation with software is a plus </li></ul><br> Preference: <br><ul><li> Carrying working experience of both corrosion engineering/material selection and asset integrity assessment </li><li> Site/field experience </li><li> Experienced with Middle East clients </li><li> PMC Experience/ Exposure to PMC projects </li><li> NACE certification </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
