Mechanical Engineer/Package Responsible Engineer

<b>Mechanical Engineer/Package Responsible Engineer (B2B)<br> Gdansk</b><br><br> Responsibilities:<br><ul><li>Participation in project execution and studies for gas plants on LNG and LPG carriers, onshore and offshore</li><li>Development of system design and preparation of engineering documentation</li><li>Specify equipment for purchase, technical evaluation of bids, review of vendor documentation and supplier follow-up</li><li>Ensure relevant technical information flows through other engineering disciplines</li><li>Technical clarifications with customer, supplier, 3rd party (e.g., Class Society)</li><li>Participate in design reviews e.g., Hazop sessions, 3D model review etc.</li><li>Technical support for commissioning and start-up activities, participate in FATs at Suppliers facilities</li></ul> <br> Requirements:<br><ul><li>BSc/MSc in mechanical engineering or equivalent</li><li>Experience from maritime, Oil & Gas and/or process industry engineering</li><li>Advanced technical knowledge of rotating and/or static mechanical equipment (such as: Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Pumps, Compressors, Valves), mechanical design standards and   materials</li><li>Familiarity with applicable Classification Societies rules for marine industry (DNV, BV, LRS, ABS, etc.)</li><li>Willingness to travel if needed, occasional business trips</li><li>Ability to work in a multinational team</li><li>Fluent English language, both verbally and in writing</li><li>Minimum 5 years of professional relevant experience</li></ul><br /><br />With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil &amp; Gas, Power &amp; Renewables, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, Automotive and Chemicals sectors worldwide.With more than 100 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed.
