Your Role: We are seeking a Senior Manager of Engineering for the Full Stack Observability engineering organization. This team will be responsible for reinventing observability in enterprises, reimagining, conceiving, and building solutions that apply intelligence to how our customers observe, act & automate all aspects of work. Our platform and observability capabilities provide the core capabilities for SolarWinds across network, infrastructure, applications, data, ML and business observability. We process several billions of data points a day, and design and build ML-powered applications that provide our customers meaningful insights from their data and make them actionable in real-time. In this role, you will drive these changes through your engineers’ iterative delivery. You are responsible for directly driving and owning development and operationalization, up-leveling existing engineers and engineering team managers and working with our product teams to drive adoption of new technologies for our 24x7 SaaS solutions! Responsibilities Your Impact: Hire, lead, and grow a team of full stack and data engineers with great technical skills, characteristics, and team fit Drive platform and application features faster with high quality and extreme scale Increase the rate of delivery of the our microservices through stronger engineering practices and best-in-class technology Think outside of the current technology/stack limitations to push the boundaries on what is possible and deliver feasible solutions collaboratively Partner with product leaders to understand customer pain points and market opportunities, and translate them into clear and robust engineering solutions Advise engineering and product management on technical roadmap, ensuring that the vision aligns with broader company objectives Motivate a group of high performing, missionary engineers and help grow the organization through mentorship and developing learning opportunities Promote a culture of engineering excellence and strengthen the technical expertise of our engineering and product teams Qualifications Your Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of industry experience, or master’s degree with 12+ years of industry experience 7+ years of experience in directly managing engineering teams in a global organization, and delivering high quality applications into production Full product lifecycle experience of a modern cloud native, data/AI product/application, preferably from a modern SaaS company Experience with public cloud (AWS, GCP, etc.) offerings and driving their adoption Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience driving teams forward and ability to influence technical decisions to line up with the company’s strategy
